Now that's changed a lot from when I carried out the final inspection on the original car at Gaydon back in 2008/2009...... This is an absolute epic build... So much passion and hard work has gone into heavily modifying this V8 Vantage..... Fairplay to the owner great vision and execution.... yup. raced a grand national once in the turbo CRX and his 4" downpipe went out the right side... i had the right lane.. couldnt even hear my car to shift.. strategic ha. Lost by a car length.

Anything Japan touches makes it gold. Seriously, in all honesty, if any of us would've said a while ago that they would like to see a V8 Vantage JDM style, most would have raised eyebrows and felt like it wouldn't be right... But, here we are... Stunning!!

This has been my favourite Aston Martin build for years.

When the owner of the Aston taps twice on each part he was pointing out I was losing it. In a good way. He's a humble vibe. You can still tell he's a wiz kid. I FREAKING LOVE JAPAN. People, food, culture, traditions, discipline. Every upload of cars meets, shows, races, on KZread that I watch based out of Japan be it from Larry or anyone else, there is ALWAYS a few constants and that is, PEACEFULNESS, HAPPY yet very serious enthusiasm for the Automotive realm. ALWAYS. Just mad respect from me. This where I wanna live. I hope to be able to visit before I die from bs I was exposed to in the military.

I've just completed the GMR installation on my 06 V8V as Hiroyuki mentioned he wants to do to his. 0-100 is now 4 seconds with a bit of wheel spin. 600hp 👌🏼

Having our own Aston Martin business in the UK, we get some interesting developments with customers and using the Vantage GT8 is the closest we get to anything wide. Excited to see the products they have coming out in 2024!

Yeah the rocks are flying from rear tires and not having rear bumper behind, not from the diffuser. Diffusers work great, as do low mounted wings, I design and make some from carbon and 3d-printed hollow core. But rock needs to be at least jumping from the tyre to start with to elevate it more in the suction. But this size diffuser just does not really produce enough suction to affect heavy stone on asphalt, albeit being on very effective height from ground. But I can totally get that the stones are directed by low pressure zone of any car really behind it, more towards middle.

Aston Martin made a road version of the racing car, well inspired, the vantage GT8...and there's also a GT12

While bolted on fenders with exposed rivets look cool. I will always prefer this type of look just like in the aston where the widebody blends in well with the rest of the body and everything looks cohesive rather than tact on.

Especially with cars of this caliber, like Astons, lambos, Ferraris etc etc, the type of widebody you mentioned is PERFECT for them, and should honestly be the standard.

Besides that thing being glorious, the Japanese really do make the best carbon and kevlar goodies.... I bought Magical Racing dry carbon mirrors for my Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird, Magical Racing dry carbon windscreen (had a carbon perimeter with acrylic glass center), a Coerce dry carbon RS tail cowl, A-Tech dry carbon upper front fairing, A-Tech kevlar tank/front fairing surround, and a Magical Racing rear tire and chain cover (one piece, chain guard and top of tire cover)....my exhaust was Japanese too, some of the best titanium work ever, full hand bent Technical Sports Racing titanium header leading into a titanium and dry carbon TSR silencer....TSR rearsets with dry carbon heel guards, TSR clutch slave, TSR upper triple tree, TSR/Brembo brackets and calipers, AS Uotani Full electrical system, Moriwaki oil cap, and the last Japanese goodie, a rack of Kehin FCR 41 Flatsides.... I should've never sold her 🥺😖😭
