@@psd28 7.3 is can match 6.7 power if you really want. 6.0 is a better platform for the money. Much more modern design that makes power super easy with a strong trans. Something that can't be said of the 7.3 trans. And they are typically cheaper because of the 6.0 problems. Get a blown one for cheap and build it up. That's what I did and you can make 650 RWHP easy as pie.

They can make that much power. The older 7.3 had stronger internals compared to the new ones so you can push them to close to 700HP. I have a 1996 7.3 running a KC turbo. Engine is just head studded and that’s about it. Should be around 550ish to the wheels. Fun to drive :)

Would you consider stage 1 or stage 2 I know they say stage 1 is specifically used for towing but 2 is kind of a mix of both? Towing and street?

  • @Dabusta88

Stage 2. If you’re in between the two I’d suggest going bigger. I would tow a lot with my stage 2, no issues.

First truck 6.7 I see with hiss tune. I have close to same set up as you. 10mm stroker, mpd piping kit, stage 2 KC, no limit intercooler, trans cooler and some trans work...with that his tune have you noticed an increase on boost at idle? I'm running 37s and my truck lags till I get it up around 7-10psi. Appreciate any info man

  • @Dabusta88

I don’t have any hard evidence that it increased boost at idle, but that’s exactly why I ran that tune. But with that it definitely felt less laggy than without it. I was also running lbf and qr
