I noticed that the action shots all have an incredibly fast shutter speed to really freeze the action. Is there a place for intentional blur with a lower shutter speed? Or does that not fit with your personal style of storytelling?

Great video. I’m a former sports journalist. One thing I know is that the ball should nearly always be in shot for any kind of ball game action shot. 👍📸

Another great episode Jean. Some helpful nuggets around scale, choosing the right lens to set the scene, shooting from above. Thanks for going into more detail about story telling. It highlights for me that it's not simply about getting a specific shot but about getting the shots that draw the viewer into the story.

Thank you Jean. I always shoot sports tight. You are challenging me to shoot wide and tell the story.

Love this video (and this entire video series for that matter). What monitor is Jean using at the 17:37 mark?

love your style and pics are the bomb. I may have missed it in your past videos but can you share mode and settings. i know they change for every location but your primary starting point. manual, AP, WB, metering mode, focus area, elec or mech. if too much info I understand. again, love your work.
