I know I hate that schools barely teach about 911 it’s a huge part in our history. My mom is a flight attendant and was a flight attendant when 911 happened so it’s a big part in my family. Thank God my moms flight got canceled that day she was supposed to fly on that day, but Thank God she didn’t. I really do think writing essay or reading book on 911 are really interesting

You wouldn’t be saying fascinating had you been there…. It was NOT fascinating. It was scary and hell on earth for those of us who witnessed it. Do you have any idea how many people died or how scary it was? Think about the lives lost. How is two planes crashing into twin towers fascinating??? Or people dying fascinating? Your words are highly offensive. I don’t know what grade you are in but you seriously need to think about the things you are saying and realize how tragic it was for those of us who were there. I’m lucky I didn’t lose my dad because at the time he was on a flight to Charlotte, NC and we lived in Pennsylvania and I was an autistic 12 year old scared out of my mind. It was a scary time for my family and still haunts me to this very day. Flight 93’s crash was very scary. We all thought the schools were going to be the next target. So no I wouldn’t call that fascinating.

in 1st grade i told my parents i wrote a bunch of poems when in reality they were from a book of poetry that was in my classroom. they thought i was an absolute genius and got 20 copies of my new “poetry book” printed. they gave them to my teachers, my family members, their friends, etc. around 3rd grade i realized what i did was plagiarism and very wrong and i started getting crazy anxiety about it. i was worried i would never be able to go to college or get a job because i had plagiarized a book. and if i told anyone my life would be over. eventually the pressure got too much for me to handle when my uncle gave a bunch of copies to his friends in japan. i told my best friend and she told me it was completely fine and i had nothing to worry about. years later i still haven’t told my parents but i joke about it all the time and don’t worry about it anymore 😅

They were separated since they had different jobs (obviously), but they were given break for a while since they’re job was so close to NYC. They lived right in the country between NYC and Buffalo, and everyone in the area was panicked because they lived between two big cities, and one had just been attacked by terrorists. None of me or my siblings were born yet. (My mom was born in New York, while my dad was born in Pennsylvania. IDEK how they met-)

I have a similar story with my uncle! So when I was little and we would drive past the chemical plants, you would see the fire coming out of the top of some of the big tube things, right? So my uncle worked at a chemical plant (pre-covid), and when I was younger, I associated that with fire. And somehow, my 6 year old brain morphed “My uncle works at a chemical plant” to “My uncle is one of those stunt guys who JUMPS OVER FIRE” and my mom got a phone call from my friends mom asking if that was true, and I learned there is a difference between Hollywood stunt men and chemists. 🤣

My dad was doing work in America in the twin towers (we are Aussie so he was visiting). He was supposed to be there but he had left the day before because of one of his friends being sick. If he hadn’t have left my family wouldn’t be here

I just think as children, we want to be part of the situation and come up with a situation that we can say to feel a part of the event every one else “seems” to be part of.

I had a preschool student tell me his dad was a fireman. During our Halloween party the parents came. I finally got to meet most of the parents. I asked this dad which fire station he worked at because two other dads are firefighters too. He said "Did Cole tell you I was a fireman"? "I'm not a fireman, he wants me to be a fireman, but I just own a printing company so it's not cool enough for him" 🤣😅
