He just took all the burdens on himself, he didn't have a nice childhood, nor a good time at school, got with the wrong people, mistakes were made, and it affected others but it affected him the most, because he had to live with those losses, but he chose to help, he learned from his mistakes, and carried on, than once again after dumbledores death, he was left to carry everything on his back, and he died knowing that people don't truly know him, people didn't know how much he suffered, how much he regretted and how much he handled by himself, a tragic character 😭

@@bruhtnt4258 He protected the location of the good guys including Sirius Black by giving fake truth serum to Dolores Umbridge who wanted Harry Potter to reveal the location in the movie the Order of the Phoenix (and keep in mind, he never took any revenge against Sirius Black, even though Black along with James Potter, made him more miserable while growing up). He cleverly helped the order while deflecting Mcgonnagals attacks on him in the student's hall in the Deathly Hallows part 2. Edit: He protected Draco Malfoy from being a death eater who was still innocent. Also it is brave of Severus Snape being a double agent by having the rest of the Hogwarts against him as he loved them all. For example, You can see this as he is visibly hurt when Mcgonnagal attacks him. Oh and as a teacher he literally risked his own life protecting 3 children.

Everyone is talking about how much pain Snape had to live through and how much he loved Lilly , and how misunderstood he was, how he still protected Harry, but no one is talking about how much he tried to help and protect Draco, cause he understood how Draco felt, with a family who never REALLY showed love to Draco and how much pressure he was under, Snape was kind of like a father for Draco , and u can see how hurt he is when he has to kill Dumbledore, but he did it so Draco didn't have to do it, and how hurt he is when he has to fight his friend McGonagall. He really is a hero, but not only to Harry , he also played a pretty big role in Draco's life.

I think he was also moved by Narcissa's love for her son, which reminded him of Lily. I don't think he could ever deny a mother asking for help to protect her son. It's very profound and significant that he became a silent protector of sons. He was the most human character, so relatable, victim of his environment that made horrible mistakes not fully aware of the consequences, yet showed amazing strenght and courage, embarked on a hard lonely mission, misunderstood and hated by everyone while risking his life every day. He has truly redeemed himself. I just wished he had some happiness in his life.

Still he was ok with bullying Neville who lost both his parents and was alone and also had the pressure of being great coz of his family's legacy

He never found happiness, everyone thought he was bad but the whole time he was rooting for harry. he was just to embarrassed to show it.

Snape was like Harry's father his whole life. 😭He deeply loved him also. If Harry knew all before, the story could be a lot different. But eighter way Snape is more than a good character he is the best character after Harry, of course.

My heart feels heavy every time i see Snape. He was the person whom i hated at the beginning and then became my favourite person at the end. This man deserves to be loved. We miss you legend

here is snape life ( pov snape ) : Clearly from the books we know that snape was abused by his father , he never knew what love was , because he never had anyone to love him , he had no friends... and then came lily , she just loved snape , she showed affection to him , but snape was kinda blind to see it because the death eaters gave him a sense of *belonging* which was more important to him . He didn't have that with lily because she associated with the maradurers who he hated ( i personally love them , all except James) . Just imagine living life with no friends and only bullies ( james would bully just for FUN )... ( I personally know how it feels to be bullied)... Once lily died he became bitter and he hated himself for not seeing the love and that's why he helped Dumbledore being an teacher ( some sort of redemption) . Looking at the kids was the last thing he wanted as it reminded of love , family , friendship he never had , it pains him....he is cruel to Neville because snape saw himself in him ( he can easily turn to be like snape ) but snape knew that neville can be better and thats why he was all strict. Snape clearly didn't like harry / being strict to him because of James ! Harry is the child of the girl he truly loved and she choose James ( the boy who bullied snape for fun ) over him.... he was never OBSESSED with lily ! He TRULY loved her And one main thing : You can't say a character is BAD just because the character's (snape) favourite isn't the protagonist! We love you snape *ALWAYS*

I hated peter and James but I hated him only during his years at Hogwarts because after Hogwarts he became a better person and was going to solve things with Snape but he died. Also Snape loathe Neville because he knew that Neville could've been the other chosen one and so lily could be alive

I feel like Snape had the every right to hate Sirius, he was bullied constantly by Sirius and James. I know they developed as characters, but that doesn't make their actions suddenly okay. And like Snape thought that Sirius killed the love of his life, like Snape's hate is literally so justified.

So it doesn’t make much sense how he wants to be forgiven and go through redemption, but he doesn’t see it fit to offer that to sirius (who he thought also caused lily’s death).

They are emotions. 2nd That Snape wants redemption is a speculation on our part, he might as well just feel guilty and feel like he deserved things. 3rd Snape unknowingly betrayed Lily. After all who could know the prophecy would lead to their death? You can interpret the prophecy in at least ten different ways and even with that one interpretation Voldemort had there were still several families it applied to. People thought that Sirius knowingly betrayed them. There is a big difference.

@@ducklingscap897 it doesn’t matter what that snape unintentionally got her killed because he’s the reason Voldemort went after her family. He knew Voldemort was cruel and he knew she was brave, so he probably knew she wouldn’t just let Voldemort kill harry. This is for your third point. For your first point, I didn’t say emotions need to make sense, however, the reasoning for his emotions should. He could be angry at sirius and hate him, however, the reason to be sirius being responsible for Lily’s death doesn’t make sense since he is the main reason. I think it was pretty obvious he wanted to go through redemption, based on his actions. If his primary goal was revenge, he wouldn’t give his tears. Those tears redeemed him as they showed who he actually was. Btw snape knowingly betrayed lily. Saying don’t kill her doesn’t mean he didn’t betray her. Agreeing with someone to get her family killed is still betraying her.

Snape was such a underrated character with a powerful message to hold your loved ones near he truly took his character to the grave.

Snape is an awesome character in Harry potter, full of suspense, layered, loving, a person who helps behind the curtains. But I don't like Harry's father he bullies him, teases him without any reason.

In book, Snape used to spy them and complaining them. And on that day, first Snape cursed James with sectumsentra bleeding his cheek. He always complained and made authorities to punish marauders. Later that hanging incidence, marauders stopped teasing him. Snape then joined Dark forces, although stopped by Lilly ,he remained with Voldemort. He only became good, when Voldemort intended to kill Lilly and Harry. For 17 years, he repented for his sins and worked as a double agent, very breavely. Both, James and Snape deserved to be hero. Also, that time James was Auror who too risked his live for white wizards and fought Voldemort and survived three times. Both were the heroes, but Severus Snape was the bravest and smartest man ever.

R.I.P. Alan. We shall never forget you.

well titanic never was my fav love story.

Snape was my favourite character and after knowing his life at the end felt he deserved much more recognition in the wizarding world.

His story is full of emotions ❤︎ He tried to protect harry just like lily asked him to he never failed but no one understood him...

He was loyal, and a beautiful soul! Misunderstood and not loved! He needed to deal with the pain alone, and did it all in the name of love!

In 2016, we lost Severus a second time... I'm still mourning over the loss of both Severus, and Alan. I hate that I lost Severus for a second time... 2016 was the worst year of my life.

He really did deserve better. It annoys me that JK Rowling gave Lucius malfoy a better ending than Severus. Or that Snators say Draco, Remus and Sirius deserved better, at least Draco not only survived in the end, but found love, Sirius died, knowing he was loved, so did Remus, who died along side his love, then there's Severus who grew up never feeling loved, and died never being loved, with just Harry by his side, the same Harry that would have made sure he regretted killing Dumbledore if he had found Snape first.

Severus is one of the cutest teacher of hogward but he has the saddest story ...

Every great man hide their emotions in front of their duty. Snape has proved it and proved it the highest. He was the greatest successor of Dumbledore but no one knew until his death, he was even better than Voldemort.

Alan Rickman was great as Severus Snape i miss him but i will respect him forever! And even when i'm 70 years old i will read and watch Harry Potter and my friends will say:"You're not reading that now after all this time?" And i will say:"Always beause this Story made me the Person I am now!" ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

The things I find in my recommended make me cry. Especially anything that involves Snape dying. He really didn't deserve to go the way he did. Neither did the Marauders.

I knew from the start that Professor Snape didn't mean anything bad, everything he did was just to protect Harry Potter because he still had love for his mother. Even though his mother was not destined to marry him, Professor Snape still loves his mother as well as he will always love Harry and try to protect him. 1. When Harry was playing a match, he had a problem with his broom then Hermione saw Professor Snape cast a spell and thought it was Professor Snape's doing, even though Professor Snape was protecting and trying to help Harry Potter. 2. When Professor Snape killed Dumbledore he was actually forced to do so because he was bound by an oath made by Bellatrix to protect Malfoy. And actually Dumbledore also told Professor Snape to kill him when the time came, because Professor Snape and Dumbledore had previously had a conversation in his room, Dumbledore told Professor Snape to pretend to serve of the dark lord and when the time came Professor Snape had to kill Dumbledore. 3. After having a conversation with Dumbledore, Professor Snape sent a stag spirit through the window, he did so because he had a feeling that Harry Potter was in danger. 4. And then where Harry Potter was attacked by a group of dementors in the forest and dying, he saw a stag spirit helping him, Harry thought that the stag spirit was his father trying to help him, in fact it was Professor Snape who sent the stag spirit to help Harry Potter. Snape that name is enough 🔥🔥🔥🔥 What a character acted by great actor. His voice 🔥. stute in a somewhat sly or vicisous way even. He has self-assurance and has much confidence in his capacities. He is very independent, cunning

Nobody could have played a better Severus Snape thank Alan Rickman, he was the quintessential Snape, perfect fit for the part. Rest in peace Alan you are loved by millions and now God has you in his care.

The style of snape walking with his cape is never gonna change ♥

I hated him when the story just started unfolding but by the end of the series I knew he was the one who actually had a good heart and tried protecting harry against all evils. But the scene where harry's father bullies him, i was so mad at the man i mean what's wrong with you, you are a bully. Lost all respect and kindness for him in that moment. Poor Snape, how wrong i thought he was, when he was the real hero ❤❤Prof. Snape you will be remembered forever. Rest in peace
