एक बार चौधरी बन्सी लाल जी चुनाव प्रचार के लिए सांपला मंडी में आए हुए थे तो कुछेक लोगों द्वारा बेरोजगार युवाओं के लिए बस परमिटों और गैस एजेंसी युवाओं को देने के लिए अनुरोध किया गया तो उन्होंने बोला कि मैं अभी ये वायदा नहीं कर सकता सरकार बनने पर इस बारे में हालात को देखते हुए ही कुछ निर्णय लिया जाएगा हालांकि बाद में सरकार बनने पर पर उन्होंने मीनी बस और मैक्सी कैब के परमिट युवाओं को देने की शुरुआत कर दी थी

He was basically very honest and dedicated to Haryana development all round .Ch.Bansi lal believed very much in merit and culture of recommendation and favoritism was not his cup of tea . My father late Brig. UBS verma was appointed Member of Haryana public Service commission in 1972 . When there were only two members and one Chairman . I was told that he never recommended any person for appointment or to be favored. That was Ch Bansi lal's stature and greatness .

In spite of all this,there is an important instace where corrupt beurocrates were able to cause gross and lasting damage to progress of medical college Rohtak and hence state of Haryana.I passed mbbs from Medical college Rohtak in 1972,Though only about a decade old the institution has achieved top ranking at national level.At that time superspecialty deptts were working only a few post graduate institutions in country.Medical colleges were in the process of developing these.Since only medical college of state was at Rohtak,a very well planned infrastructure,in someways even better than AllMS,was sanctioned,cmpleted and inagurated by Ch.Bansi Lal in 1974.(I was working as a house surgeon at that time)It a moment of pride for Medical college Rohtak.But within a short time before starting any of these deptts because of low quality of construction multiple cracks developed in almost all the buildings and these were declared unsafe for working.Then every thing came to stand still and after a gap of 20 yrs,in 1994 all these buildings were demolished and Medical college has been set back 20 yrs by the corruption of beurocrates.A great loss to Medical college Rohtak and to Haryana.

Sahi baat Bhai ji. Bansi Lal ne 1998 me Shahbad ka sivrej ka pani hamare gaon ki jameen Teora Bakana me chhod Diya thha . Hum iske pass drain banwane ke liye gye to isne hamari application fenk ke Mari . Kewal bhiwani ke logon ki sunwai kar raha tha.
