9:20 - Föhn is indeed a dry, warm, "falling" wind. Boring fact: at the very beginning of the 20th century, two German companies invented the hairdryer. One of them wanted to use the "Föhn" as a brand name. Because it was not possible to copyright an existing word, they changed the spelling for their brand to "Fön". To this day, this is what we call hairdryers in German, but the spelling might vary between Fön and Föhn.

Bigger tellies are a boon for dogs!

It started with bad weather, but then it became much more pleasant. The streets, the buildings, the fruits, everything so typical of Italy, one can almost feel the spirit and soul of the place and the lunch was delicious; undoubtedly, Italian cuisine is distinct and refined compared to all others. This Italian Riviera series holds a lot of promise.

Great to see some sunshine (as we get battered by the latest storm in the UK). Definitely want to drive along that coast. Converting an old Flat 500 to electric is popular. Twiggy is enjoying the trip so far.

Very nice! Next time if you need to park and charge in Menton there is a huge and very modern underground car park you enter from the roundabout by the tower on the sea. It is called les Sablettes and there are 10 chargers. But you probably know that. 😀 So, let's see what the future brings once you get to Sanremo... 😉

Just to drop a hint boys ..poached eggs do well in a sous vide (I like the "snots" protein if doing a lazy egg in the shell, but if you are into finishing properly in a separate pan of spoon assisted vortex water for presentation that can be done in mere seconds upon cracking the shell, the scallops you are enjoying is a gentle 51c cook for 30 mins then dried (kitchen towel) & 40 seconds total in hot butter pan for maillard reaction colour & buttery goodness ..you pair of foodies ought have a sous vide wand in your lives. Rabbit meat cooks well as does chicken(salad chicken, a whole new level ..likely tim will see the rabbit /chicken connection ) & a "proper" edge to edge steak that is non grey... yes I even (as in prefer from a money perspective) do that with an aldi "value" aged beef mystery steak slab as I do with the wifes posh cut steaks ...I love a good bit of rump myself, you!? (my sous vide wand travels with me abroad to france to eat well "dans-le-cheap" ..considering the foodie connection to your channel I think seeing Mr Boo in a pinnie doing an aged fanny (impression) whilst Tim (johnny) does the grand pan sear finale (likely he's never been quicker at 40 seconds doing both sides)

We didn’t put on weight!

I've only gone through Bordighera never stopped. Looks really nice. As to the taster menu at the restaurant, I would have gone for the rabbit. Not a fan of tiny tasty portions. Prefer a meal! But were you able to charge up? That one was left in the air.

I look forward to Sunday evenings and one of your videos. Even my wife sits and watches with me (she has connections with the south through the Hérault and also Antibes). The menu looked nice. Made me think of the restaurant we used for our wedding year before last in Brantôme, Dordogne. For us, our witnesses and their famillies it worked out at 50 euros a head. We went back there last Summer. I like non pretentious places like this one, with good food that is reasonably priced. Being in a Perigord tourist spot, quite a lot of the restaurants in the area are hyped up and over priced, but not that one. Good luck with the teeth. I have a temporary crown that has dragged on for over a year. On to a second far better dentist now. Not at all a cheap process...
