I didn't realise how bad it had been, and actually, further down, the river had burst its banks and there has been quite a bit of fast-flowing water in the streets.

Oh crikey both, you got drenched! We seem to be getting one storm after another! We had so many train cancellations in the midlands too, not good for people relying to get around!😖👍

I reckon it was just blowing up under the rafters last night, but stopped getting in after a while. I'm certainly going to get a builder in to look at it, though. Luckily it was only a little trickle, but when I looked in the loft above it was rather worse. Thanks, Joe!

Poncho is working well then?!!!!! Storm days are meant for staying cosy at home - especially when they are this strong!

How is it by you? We've had a doddle compared to many. The scenes on the news are quite upsetting. I had no idea how bad it was when I filmed this, earlier.

@@PlanetImo It was wet and very windy one night but nowhere near as bad as the worst hit parts of the country....it is awful ;(

That was one wet day😫 As Annie would say " the sun will come out tomorrow" don't forget to sing that part😉

Apparently there's a leak somewhere inside the ceiling, perhaps when the weather gets warmer you can have that patched up. I had a similar leak above my window but I had it patched up and so far so good...

Oh yes. This is largely what I use the GoPro for...

These last few days of storms have been terrible hope your ok we didnt have it half as bad as alot of areas where we live so pretty lucky

We’ve been lucky too, but really very close by to us, many homes have been flooded. I didn’t realise this at all earlier as I was filming this. We were blissfully ignorant of it.

Hope your house is OK! We are North East England and haven't had it as bad as predicted at all. X

We were absolutely fine apart from a bit of rain getting in through the roof. Many weren't though, unfortunately.

Oh man - we've had it easy - I've been watching clips being posted all over the place of other parts of Wales the rest of UK and it's horrific. I don't think anyone was expecting this...

My old apartments under water. Thankfully I now live at the university which sits on a hill.

!!! Oh wow! We're up a hill too. I had no idea how fortunate we were until later today, when I realised the extent of what had been happening. I used to live in a basement flat in Cardiff right by the Taff. I wouldn't mind betting that's underwater now, too. That was years ago.

Oh no you went all that way and could not make it! But that thumbnail made me LOL. Stay dry!

I know, what a picture! We were shocked when we got back, looked at the news and saw the extent of the flooding in South Wales that had caused the disruption. We counted ourselves very lucky after that. X

This one was way worse than I realised at the time of filming, earlier. If you Google 'South Wales Storm Dennis' you''ll see all manner of horrors. :¬( Lots of homes, business and vehicles have suffered a lot of damage. We had no idea at all.

Well you tried! Flooding and no buses. Wow. I guess you should have one of those old cars that could also go into water and float and be a boat as well. Might be the perfect vehicle for your country.

Oh yes! a 'Duck'! They could do with those in Pontypridd at the moment. Cardiff's had some flooding too. There was even a landslide not a million miles from us, as it turned out.

Oh dear what a nightmare guess plans change due to the weather Storm Dennis looks awful we have been seeing footage of very bad flooding . Stay home 🏡 have tea 🍵 and crumpets there will always be another day to visit your dad 👍🌺

This Is Our Retirement Oh honestly - We’ve got nothing to moan about. So many people have had a proper traumatic time with this - life changingly so.

We did! We got back in and stayed in. It was the second big storm in 2 weeks. This was worse though, as already saturated ground got a months-worth of rain in 48 hours and hence there was a lot of flooding.

Time for coffee and biscuits me thinks. Dennis is proving to be quite potent! Weather much the same here with the Severn and Avon bursting banks aplenty.

Good to hear. I think my roof will be fine, though I'll get a builder in to look at it, anyway. I suspect they'll all be busy for a while after this!

@@PlanetImo yes. Actually Lee did!! hit a puddle and aquaplaned off the road and hit a house. Spent all day in A&E with him. Just uploading todays VLOG with a couple of shots from yesterday. He is alive and in one piece but black and blue bless him.

Much more than I thought. I had no idea what the floods had done further down the river while I was filming this. Loads of homes and business have been flooded out. Even Cardiff's had some flooding.

Louinator59 That’s really scary as homes and businesses are already underwater in places. It’s funny though, I haven’t noticed any mention of a second storm on the weather forecast. My app says it’s going to rain all day, every day for over a week to come, though the news channel weather forecast seemed to suggest it would be more intermittent.

@@PlanetImo There was two storms in the Atlantic and one is now merging with the other to create this Hugh storm. It is the same scenario we went through in November when Tammy and I filmed We Beat the Storm. I spotted it ready to occur 1 week ahead of time. It was followed by a second storm which was not as bad, but the same with 4 feet of snow in our mountains. Well, I see that there will be a second go in the Atlantic, next week. So far everything is heading to directly hit Norway.

I think I can safely say you will not be going to Cardiff today looking at all the damage and roads closed in south Wales.

that's what happens they have hull breach on board Federation Starships it needs to be refitted at Earth Space Dry Docks and Earth Station McKinley immediately. 😐

Indeed - we had no idea how bad things were down river at the point of filming this. It seems that South Wales has born the brunt of this storm. We’ve been so lucky to escape with just a leaky roof!!!

To be honest, can't really tell it's been. Bit windy and wet but that's it. Checks out window, quite sunny (as much as you can get)

I tell you what, Collin - I have it easy - I've been watching some horrendous flooding images on line since getting back home. It's shocking. Pontypridd high street has a river flowing through it!! I've never seen the like.

Have you seen all the flooding in South Wales in the news? I'd had no idea that was going on when filming this. It puts my leaky roof into perspective that's for sure. Rain is forecast all week so I can't see how it won't get worse. I feel dreadful for all the people who have been affected by it.
