Yes. It's the MK11 klassic version of the MK2 design. It's not accurate to the MK11 version at all though.

Yeah, definitely from the MK11 dlc. Honestly, if he's gonna critique the appearance, he needs to do the work and research the source material better (it's part of the job if you're gonna be reviewing something). While I do like the MK3 figure more, I do like this one as well.

Figure looks amazing. Storm Collectibles knows what they’re doing!

Honestly I like this guy much more than the 1st release. That 1st release had tons of joint issues, especially where the arms connect to the shoulders. Amazing accessories on this guy to boot, especially the amazing skull head. I had 2 of the 1st version and the head pegs had so much trouble fitting the skulls on, and any sort of posing usually meant an arm fell off. I do like the MK3 look the best, and hope they do the rest in that style. Also that MK3 sub has some amazing accessories.

Love coming from work to see Anthony review toys. Its very relaxing for some reason

Besides the custom designs in 11, MKX Scorpion is my favorite, followed by MK9 mostly because I grew up with it.

The Storm 2020 event exclusive Scorpion figure is supposed to be a rendition of Scorpion’s MK11 classic outfit.

It doesn't say it on the box, but this is the MK11 version of the MK2 outfit.

Storm Collectibles should listen to the advice of The Offspring, you gotta keep 'em separated.

I remember trying to get him off of the Bluefin website when it came out. Still gotta wait till December to get him since I was expecting to stay where I ordered him to

Generally I'm an MK3 kid but the MK4 look or defenders of the realm with the stylized skull mask is my favorite. Still don't know if I should get the storm Mk3 version or hope to see that mask later.

UMK3 was my jam back in the day and I prefer the MK3 Scorpion look. Glad I bought the Storm Collectibles MK3 Scorpion figure. Only thing I want for it is the fire effects but oh well

Nice review and comparison. Since this is so hard to get the 1st release and Storm doesn't seem to make reissue, we have no real choice here in France plus the shipping and import fees are way too expensive with ebay with the global shipping option. So we will take this one by default. I was wondering if the skeleton head is not the one from golden axe skeletons too?

My favorite Scorpion is either Injustice Scorpion or the Golden skin in MKX

This figure is based on MK11's classic Scorpion skin. Also for question of the day, my personal favorite is the mk11 costume, and my second favorite is costume 2 from MK9

Do the fire effects work well with the other scorpion figures?

I thought you already reviewed that figure. Edit: Never mind. I commented way too soon before you compared it with the first one. And, I would have to agree with the mk 3 design.

Others have already pointed out what the design is from but yes I agree that the V-shape is totally what makes the classic design so good. The flat non-v shape just isnt as striking and the same can be said for when they do “classic” costumes in the new games, its not as good.

I still bought it and I love it, it’s true what he says in the video he has some weird things about him but it’s more of a 7/5 than 6. Also mine doesn’t have the Lollipop head

I mean what other option can you get since you can’t get the first release if you want to pay over 260$ but I understand what you are saying in the video

The first storm collectibles scorpion figure is super expensive on eBay now. I've seen him go for £550. Thank god I managed to get mine for £75. 😅

MKX is my favorite design personally.

Personal favorite for me is a toss up between MK9 and MK Deception for his designs.

The head looked off to me so I used the skull head on this figure

Well, might be canceling that preorder now. At this price point, the figure needs to be just about perfect.

The head is so flat it reminds me of the same shape from the side as the Silver Centurion figure you reviewed looks like no head can fit in there.... yeah this figure is just sad especially considering the price point.

He's based on mk11, which kind of sucks. Close, but not as good as the classics. Also, is it just me or are the mk3 ninjas even bigger. Wish they would stick to a scale

Anthony, like everyone in the comments is saying this version of Scorpion is actually an MK11 rendition of the klassic MK2 outift. Go look up pictures of the klassic ninja pack for MK11. Like you said you're not as knowledgeable on MK as some of us so you probably didn't know it but in terms of source material storm collectibles actually nailed it. They even got the roped kunai that's around his belt.

AnthonysCustoms if you are comparing this figure to the MK2 sprite then sure it’s wrong, but this isn’t the MK2 sprite this is the MK11 sprite. The only thing I see wrong with the V shape is they made the top half of the gi too short so it almost looks like a crop top and makes his top half look small. It does look a little weird. But honestly for me the main selling point for me is the mask that doesn't come off.

I’m gotta disagree w/ you in this one big guy. This one is better.
