Lol! My service dog shopped all the time with me. He once grabbed, while waiting in checkout, long line, a chew ring, put teeth marks in it. I missed it at first, but he handed it, so 'fessed up. I looked at the clerk, it was expensive! She laughed, said, 'oh look, this is damaged, mark down!" Charged me a buck! Some Walmart people be great!! 👍💙💙💙🥰✌

@@robertopicsi live with a service dog, my step father needs one. and I agree with you. true service dogs do not do stuff like that when they are working. they know when the vist gets out on them, they only listen to the one they help, and never do anything like that. they don't even lay down unless told too.

Reminds me of the stray dog that kept trying to steel a purple unicorn plushie from A Dollar Tree. The cop that took the dog from the area bought him the plushie and the dog with his plushie was adopted.

I was a nanny in college. One of my charges, 18 months old, took a toy from Target. I found it when I went to go put him in the car. He had put it in the stroller, then sat on it. You will NEVER convince me he didn't know. When I took it back in to give it back, he threw a fit. NO, I didn't let him keep it.

My dog, rest her silly little soul, tried to boost a toy from pet smart when I was paying for cat and dog food. A little bag of the cat bells at the counter like most places have candy. My dog tried to shoplift for my cat who didn't get to go shopping, I thought I was the only one this happened to. Kinda relieved to know that my dog isn't the only sneaky brat out there

On the flipside, there are dogs that buy things. There's this one dog on a university campus who, after watching the students exchange paper money for snacks, started bringing the shopkeepers leaves to trade, and another in either China or Japan whose owner sends him to the market with a basket and money, and the dog goes around to all the merchants and picks up ingredients for supper.

I used to have a cat that would steal people's sacks of weed and stack them neatly by the cupboard that I kept my weed in...she would wait for everyone to throw in and roll their sack back up and then sneak around and take them all one by one to my room 🤣

Cats love weed, it’s similar to cat nip but they can overdose so they shouldn’t really have it. I had a friend who was a big stoner, she had a very old cat with arthritis & that cat was constantly trying to steal her weed, & they’d make her stop but she usually got a little, she was mean about it, probably made her arthritis hurt less.

Of course I buy it because it isn't fair for the store to take the loss or the employees to get in trouble. But boy do I make him work for it when he gets home. He's a good boy lol

My horse shoplifted in the Tractor Supply. I was constantly making put things back including entire baled of alfalfa hay. It wasn't premeditated. He didn't know better than to take things he wanted. He's a well trained service animal but wasn't allowed in the passenger compartment of a plane due to his size. He wasn't slow or sly about shoplifting. He would just see something he wanted and pick it up.

I asked my dog if there was anything he couldn’t live without while I was shopping in a thrift store. He immediately turned and trotted over to the stuffed animals and brought back one marked a quarter. I told the clerk and my dog took the toy outside and shredded it. After that every time we went into that shop he would pick a toy and I would pay for it. One time I told him no, so he snuck it out. He became a regular kleptomaniac after that.

On a personal note, it ticks me off as a visually impaired individual how easy it is to get 1 of those Service Dog vests & put it on any dog. I went to a city council meeting once & two women in there had dogs with service vests on. The bigger of the two dogs was silently lying by its owner's wheelchair. He was a German Shepherd mix. The other dog with a service vest on was a yelping shitzu that it's owner had on an extendable leash. It ran over to me, started barking, and tried to bite my leg. I jumped and yelled, "No!" at the dog, it's female owner heard me, wheeled over to me, and asked why I was yelling at her dog? I told her it had tried to bite me and she blew a fuse. The dog was barking over her fussing and tried biting me again, in front of her. I jumped backwards & she screeched that I was scaring the dog! (What?!?) Thank goodness someone on the county board had walked over, when the woman first started screeching, and kindly asked her if she could take the dog outside. She tried to play the, "But this is a Service Dog!" card, which no one was buying. The man pointed out that service dogs were welcome, if they behaved, but this dog was being very agressive. The woman picked up her dog, put it in her lap, and left, in a huff. The REAL service dog the other woman had never moved from beside her wheelchair.

Our beloved deaf dog was invited into the pet store- once. The clerk kept tell me, " let her look around, it's okay" so. I finally let the leash drop. Sadie immediately bee-lined behind the counter and came back with the clerk's clutch purse. Complete embarrassment while her tail wagged proudly. Tried telling the clerk that she had NOT been taught to do that, clerk just continued to look grim. Bought dog food and left. Received a call later that Sadie was no longer welcome at their store.

When my daughter was almost 2... I can't really remember exactly how old she was but she was at the age to be walking and saying hand fulls of words. we took her to the blues festival at the beach where we lived in Jacksonville Florida. We're sitting there on the ground on our blanket enjoying the music and my daughter Daisy hands me a dollar bill and smiles and I'm like thank you and look around and figure somebody dropped it and blew away and Daisy caught it and gave it to me. Nobody around us did so ok guess it's ours. Few minutes later a little hand is giving me another dollar and says dada love you. I look around and once again it's nobodys I thank her and I ask my wife about it and she says the day before grandma had her and probably gave her a couple bucks, makes sense. Few minutes later 3 more bills and I thank Daisy and she gives me a kiss thrilled dada hoppy. Couple minutes go by and I ask my wife "honey Daisy doesn't have pockets where could she have hid the money and us not noticed because she didn't have anything in her hands when we got here?" We both stare and each other look at Daisy look at each other and back to Daisy and Daisy giggles and if you are a parent you know that toddler giggle that's more mischievous than just a happy laugh. So we check Daisy head to toe and she doesn't have anymore money so maybe grandma did give it to her. So we relax a bit and maybe 20 minutes go by and Daisy climbs up on my back and gets on her knees cause she loved to do that and just let her arms drape over my shoulders and her chin on the top of my head and kind of balance, you know for daddy's complete Total comfort. Lol. Not going to lie I'm a jungle gym to her. Lol. So I look over at my wife in pain and she smiles and laughs and then her face goes white and eyes real big and I'm thinking here comes the puke but it doesn't. My wife says um babe unless you have given Daisy a hundred dollar bill we have a problem. I roll over sliding Daisy off and look in her little balled up fist is 3 20$ bills with a hundred hanging out. I pull the 3 bills she gave me the last time out of my pocket cause I really didn't pay attention And it's a 5$ and a 50$ with a 1$ wrapped around them. 207$ in total and we are freaking but nobody seems to be looking so we search Daisy again and nothing but she needs changed so my wife starts to change her I grab the diaper bag and reach inside and their is a woman's wallet sitting right in the top that wasn't my wife's and it had several hundred more dollars Inside and a driver's license and stuff and I hand a diaper to my wife look at the license and scan the crowd and no luck. Once Daisy was changed I tell my wife and we didn't know what to do so we did the only thing we could think of. I found a police officer and explained the whole thing and if anything more is missing from the wallet and Daisy lost it I will make it good. The officer was kind of not buying it but at the same time not surprised so he took us all to the event management area and we filled out a statement and when almost done the cop walked up and said we have the owner come with us. The lady had noticed it missing and reported it and they said for her to hold tight so we all met up and the lady at first was mad thinking we stole it untill she was told we said our daughter did it and if she could go thru the wallet and see if anything was missing. She looked thru it and said it was all there and she was thankful and seemed to buy the story but not completely but then she seen Daisy and she goes omg omg I know what happened, you guys were in line for sodas ahead of me and your little girl was smiling at me and when you got your drinks and stepped to the side to put hers in a sippy cup once I got mine I sat my bag on the table with my wallet to get napkins and when you guys turned to walk away your little girl was handing the diaper bag up to you guys and I picked my bag up and left and after a bit realized my wallet was gone but forgot I never put it in my bag. I bet your little girl picked it up put it in your bag and handed it to you. Me my wife the lady and 4 cops all turn and look at Daisy and she smiles and says love you dada.. case solved.
