ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZread and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you strike a ball with an iron. If you are looking for how to hit a ball straight with an iron, or want to know how to hit the ball first with irons then these golf drills will give you much better golf ball contact so that you can strike your irons pure.
I believe they are the easiest and best golf irons drills you can use
Also get to see the golf ball contact in slow motion

Hi Danny, your insight and understanding of the golf swing is for me is far beyond anything I’ve seen anywhere.else. The bit I haven’t been able to translate so far is the sling of the club, but I’m not far off. Thank you so much for you videos, I’ve just retired and “ hope” to reduce my handicap. Your a champion, keep up the good work! Don’t want to come to Melbourne Oz to give me a lesson, I’ll put you up, no charge!

Danny. For me and I think many others, the best way to learn is a five stage process: (1) This is what you do (2) This is why it’s wrong (3) This is what you should do (4) This is why it’s right (5) and here is a simple way to do it. That’s exactly how you teach. Without doubt you are the best coach on KZread. Thanks again.

Wow!! I've been struggling with topping my 3 and 5 woods off the fairway for awhile now. I discovered your channel last week and just focusing on the change to my posture and angle of the club on set-up made big difference. I was consistently hitting the ball in the air and scored 5 pars in yesterday's round. (I'm typically a double-bogey golfer!) Thank you Danny!! 😊

These weekly lessons have shown me what - and how - to practice and have given me a simple method for playing that has transformed my level of enjoyment and my scoring and competitiveness. The upward creep of my handicap was stalled and is now 2 .5 lower, am currently unbeaten in 11 competition Pairs matches, and had 42 points to win last week. So better results can flow from better processes. Credit where it is due, your teaching is just terrific and has made a big difference to my game. Thanks Danny for a great golfing year ....

Danny, I have made a few feeble attempts to play golf over my 60+ years, but it’s only been after watching a few of your videos (repeatedly) that I have been able to stand flat-footed while watching a ball I hit soar (not roll) down the fairway for a few seconds before dropping at decent (for me) distances. Till now, I have consistently either topped the ball or hit it off the toe for the exact reasons you have demonstrated here. This one video, along with senior golfer Adam (Mr. Wowzer), I finally have faith that I will truly enjoy my foray into the sport this one last time. Can’t thank you enough.

Danny, it's the second time you have managed to solve a puzzle for me. I have been struggling with a "stand-up and flip" menace and just could not trace the causes. The setup advice is gold, thenk you!

Have found NO ONE else that has discerned what the real problem is! I’m a former scratch player now struggling with injuries from a car accident, including herniated lumbar and cervical discs. I’m stiff a lot and now find myself hitting dreaded topped balls. Maddening!! I thought it was a case of me changing my spine angle by just lifting up due to stiffness. I’m convinced THIS is my solution. My recent videos show me in a very athletic stance, with my butt behind my heels and thus standing up with my legs in the downswing to try and create power, thus topping. Thank you Danny for this insight!

No single golf instructor has helped my game more than you. That includes in person lessons I have had with local pros. I learned how to finally hit my driver well watching your videos, but the irons, hybrids, and fairway woods were a nightmare. Top, top, top! Played I8 today, same result. One of the fellas I played with said I needed to stay off of the golf videos. Came straight home and went directly to your sight and found this gem. I was indeed to bent over in my set up, changed that as you suggested and BAM! So good I had to go play 9 more with a changed set up posture, and not a single topped shot! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Best wishes

Glad you show the pivoting shoulders drill in this tip. I have also found hitting the ground (not the top of the grass) in my practice swings really helps. I use with every club (except driver and putter) now and topping has disappeared.

Another great tip Danny. Your pivot video has really helped me. This one will be good too as my course has long par 4s and I usually need a hybrid or 5 wood to get it up there but suffer from topping them. Your are one of the best on YT.

Majority of your videos speak about proper shoulder pivot and I must say I never realized how bad my rotation truly was until I started working on your tips for proper pivot and rotation. Total game changer and shot 8 strokes under what I usually do and lost some of those strokes to poor putting. Ball striking was on point almost the whole day which never happens. Thanks for the awesome videos and great explanations!
