I broke the cycle. It didn't hit me hard until I had children. I was beaten every other day growing up for over 10 years, often with metal poles and belt buckles. It got to the stage where I did what I wanted because I was going to get hit anyway. I have never hit my children. Broke the cycle. Even after 20 years of self-healing I'm still sometimes emotional dysfunctional, even I fully understand why, addicted to guilt and shame. I have learned that self-healing and self-care is on going. We are a product of our environment and our personalities are largely a mental construct. I believe people who hit their children cannot manage their emotions, it has nothing to do with discipline.

@christinesmith3092 Thank you and God bless you. I'm doing fantastic these days, I recently stopped some long-term addictions I was using to escape my emotional pain. Just one left which rears its head occasionally. I've met an amazing woman who helped and inspired/ motivated me to do so. My kids are doing great so I feel blessed. Hope you are doing great also.

I can't put my finger on what resonates the most from this, because, there is so much juice in this interview I can barely drink it all. Point after point after point...this interview hit me to my core. I'll be watching this again for sure. I empower and teach people who coach young athletes how to make the biggest impact possible on their young lives...this information will free them to be the best coach they can be - regardless of their technical ability or coaching acumen. THANK YOU!

Thanks guys! Shared with my mom, grand parents, siblings, my children. We are healing and evolving together. The power of knowing is the true separater between those who "have" and those who "have not". Life is incredible and I am grateful to be open to learning to think differently than my previous 40+ yrs. Everything is coming together and unfolding in amazing ways. I am a 4.0 version of myself.

Excellent. I needed this. My brother and I had a difficult childhood. My brother passed away due to alcohol problems. I am ok but have a lot of issues and anxiety and silly addictions like sugar. Anyway these type of videos can really help some of us to understand ourselves and be aware. Thank you so much.

Great message about taking responsibility for how things land. (A key that you aren’t taking responsibility is if you’re easily offended, lack curiosity and just want everyone else to change.)

0:00: 🔑 Our adult lives are influenced by our childhood experiences and the generational chain we are a part of. 4:40: 🔍 The speaker reflects on a childhood memory and the significance of remembering certain moments. 9:26: 🔑 The speaker emphasizes the importance of examining one's childhood and family history to understand oneself and others. 13:56: 📚 The video discusses how two parents can have different meanings attached to the same situations they were raised in, leading to different outcomes for their children. 19:04: 📝 The speaker reflects on the struggle of writing and producing something beyond their own experiences. 23:42: 🔥 Blaming others perpetuates the past and keeps us tied to what has been. 28:30: 💡 We become addicted to emotions, even if they are unhealthy, because they are familiar and a part of our identity. 32:47: 💡 The importance of self-reflection and conscious living in understanding patterns and beliefs. 37:27: 💡 Life comes in three waves that change and shape us, starting with self-awareness in childhood. 42:06: 💡 One of the most insidious forms of child neglect is a child being raised by a parent who is not pursuing their own potential or dreams. 46:23: 👥 Integrity is about teaching yourself to honor your word and follow through, even when you don't feel like it, and demonstrating this to your children. 51:31: 💔 Life is uncertain and our false notion that we can control everything is the greatest lie. 56:29: 🗣️ Language and conversations play a crucial role in societal development and change. Thanks Ed & blessing to everyone 🫶🏽

Jesus came into the world to change it for the better. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Breaks every chain!! We need the Lord to help us see what is truly going on in Israel right now and what is going on in America right now. One nation under God provides the truth that we need to uphold to keep us free! We were designed to be a light( leader) for other counties to follow. Jesus came to set us free! There is power in unity. I realize this program is about breaking free on a personal level however right now we are too self focused and need to be more Jesus focused for the Ultimate Win! The Rapture is going to happen and then the tribulation will begin. By Gods grace I hope to make the rapture team out of here. The tribulation is going to be hell on earth and no one needs to stay here. Accept the truth of Jesus Christ and move forward into eternity with Christ! Jesus is the way, the truth and the Life! 🦋🦋🦋 Ed you have the platform to reach the listener for Christ now! 🙏🙏🙏 J

Hi Ed, I just want to add interject that I am one of those people who likes to muse over one word for a long time till I get to the bottom of it and the word BLA ME is directly connected to addiction all addict blame I’ve noticed alcoholics blame junkies, blame everybody who is addicted to the substance blames and the other part that you just mentioned about being addicted to blame. I truly understand the addiction to an emotion because of the chemicals it sets off I used to yell a lot, and when I stopped i missed it like a motherfucker because that was my juice anyway thought I’d just add to that Peace…’Lady J’😎

Banana's guys even being in your 50's habits repeating thoughts and actions can become very difficult yet they are automatic. To stop drop and roll when in a slowly boiling pot of water, well it's crazy how this muscle sitting a top my shoulders. Seems to enjoy the pain and suffering? Or is it just seemingly easier to stay in hell in earth? Fact, I had two different father figures and two mother figures. Two younger brothers that have thrived in life from one side. A brother and sister from the other. In which again my younger brother is ready to retire while I look at working the rest of my life. It does sound like it should be quite simple to want and work on change. Change ? Yes, Ed - familiar- chemicals produced by this very same muscle. Damn!
