Here is a tip I use when using brake caliper grease - Buy a few solder flux brushes from Home Depot, Lowes, etc. They are perfect for applying brake caliper grease precisely where it belongs and avoiding where it doesn't. I don't like using my fingers because I inevitably touch where I don't want the grease and it saves me extra work of cleaning up.

Nope brakes pads are supposed to be greased in these areas. They just didn’t grease them well enough at the factory.

Thanks my 2015 just started doing this, I was going to order new pads but I'll check this before I do

The squeak is a property of this brake setup, but definitely check your pads for wear,

We have '13 GS350 F Sport with the lefendary squeaky brakes. I like to lube the metal to metal areas of the pad as well. So far so good...

This worked for the Brembo 4 pistons on the challenger if you have the same brakes it should be a similar process.

@@SonofLiberty00 This did help the squeal but brakes would still squeak if I got them to hot.. What eventually fixed the issue for me is switching from ceramic pads to semi-metallics. I put on some Wagner semi-metallics pads and the squeal is gone. Give that a shot if you're still having issue.

I gave up on the squeaking, swapped pads to z26 but like you said they fade. Went back to brembos and the dust but they stop on a dime. They still squeak I even used brembos b quiet lube. 💀

Also it is not a bad idea to lube up the pins and the retaining clip thag touches the pads !

4 pots seem to have this issue, but my 6’s don’t have that issue at all.

Sorry to hear that, the louder the exhaust the less you need to fix ;)

The issue is with the Brembo rotors that dodge puts on the, I had 3 different dealers tell me the same thing. They squeak. The Brembo holes are drilled for directional, look at the pattern on the driver side versus the passenger side, only one side is correct but because the noise is at such a high pitch I was never able to figure out which side it came from. I said F' It and purchased Power Stop K4023-26 Front and Rear Z26 Street Warrior Brake Kit and took the Brembo Rotors to a recycling plant. I could have resold them since they have about 80% left on them but I didn't need to think about giving someone else my headache. BTW the Power Stop are great, just follow the break-in instructions.

PowerStop Z26 is what everyone upgrades to, they are great for daily spirited driving, but they fade quickly on the road course.

My Scat's Brembos squeak like that too. I started using brake cleaner on the rotors periodically and that helps in stopping the squeal for a mo0nth or so. So my issue may be all the dust in my area. Someone also suggest ceramic pads. But your method seems like more of a comprehensive fix.

The PowerStop z26 pads are the ones a lot of people are using. They are great for spirited daily driving and most applications, but if you plan on tracking the car with heavy braking these will experience brake fade quicker than the stock pads. If you swap be sure to grease them ;)

My issues was due to the install being improperly greased. When you installed the ceramic pads did you grease all the areas I pointed out in the video.

I haven't had any squeaks on the hellcat yet, but if I do I am considering the Z26 Pads. The only issue I know with them is they experience Brake Fade quicker than the stock pads so you should not use them on a road course.

Just an update. I did this and my brakes are super quiet. I only applied grease where the pistons contact (didn’t apply any between the pads and the shims). 👍🏻😊😊

I've used the CRC disc brake quiet(red stuffs), it has a nice applicator tip....that's what she said 🤣

Also, You did not put any lube on the Brembo pin or retaining clip. These are ALL places of metal to metal contact that will cause hormonic vibration. You should of used the grease on the slide pins and also put some in areas of contact on the retaining clip. This to will help on Brembos.

you 100 percent dont need grease on that pin.... do you legit what dirty to stick to the pins constantly??? Never in my life have i seen someones pins greased. It wont do nothing.

It seems to be a mystery where to actually grease these brakes. I was doing the sides of the pads and pins, etc. That sticker/label doesn't seem like it would matter because the pistons press around it, and no grease is there anyway, but I can't say for certain. Using the OEM pads.

Also, I would hit the rotors with some brake cleaner to remove any "Brembo performance magic fairy dust" which causes it to get impregnated into the pad over time.

I tried this same process and my breaks still squeak like crazy have 6 piston Sti on hawk 5.0 pads, any more advice ?

You can but you may need to be specific and tell them to clean the pads and shims, then grease them. Considering the dealership that services thousands of cars with the same issue just says "go away this is normal"

Are we talking about that super loud high pitch squeal when the car is almost at stop? Mine squeals like crazy when they're getting hot and at very low speed a second or 2 before the car stops. I can brake fine, but only when I am almost stopped, in the very last few feet distance, the brake squeals.. Is that what you guys are experiencing too? Thanks

I used enough grease to thinly coat only the contact areas.

Surprised you didn't put a light coat of grease on the pins too. Good tips though.

Pins are better without grease .. you don’t want them sliding off your calipers..

I have greased the same, but my Brembos are still squealing !!! ! !!! Now what should i do ??

Yeah it's pretty much a day 1 thing.

Perhaps Instead you should try cleaning them more often. My brakes only squeel when it's been a couple weeks since I cleaned everything in the wheel well.
