I'd love it if you went in depth on how to decipher a decision letter, how to know which of the elements you need to focus on in strategezing your supplemental claim. Thanks Jordan, you're Killin it
This video is full of great advice. Take your time and do it right. The 'optimal claim', is a 'fully developed claim' that forces the hand of the VA by connecting the dots from a to b to c for the VA rater to rate you with the highest possible rating for your disability. The claim contains STR's that address the initial injury, a nexus, current records, treatment programs, medications, personal statement, and buddy letters. Give the VA *what it needs* to process your claim in a timely manner and grant you the proper rating. When he mentions that people look thru a lens, remember the VA raters do to - and you can tune that lens in if you develop your claim properly.
The blue falcon is here!
Luckily I chose the IDES in my MEB but for those who are already out and veterans this guy has some great advice . If I need to file anything in the future I’ll definitely double bl back to these videos

How do I write a good personal statement?
Thank you brother, I enjoy and watch every video you drop! You are my favorite. Next would be combat Craig. You are my two guys! Hopefully when I ETS I will be set up for success. I know I've been going to appointments trying to document everything, but I tell you these military docs downplay everything and I have to have multiple appointments for each issue and I still don't have any answers for a lot of things.

FYI, your American Flag is displayed incorrectly. the stars should be always on the left side if you display it vertically.

The flag is obviously a painting or something attached to the wall. How do you know that it's not left of something else in the room you can't see

The flag is displayed correctly just as it would be on a diagonal flag pole. Also de painting is meant to be displayed horizontally not vertically.

How do I get in touch with VA claim academy. I'm about to reclaim, for my benefits again
$15,000 is undoubtedly a significant amount of money… but what if spending that allowed you to make up to $4,000 per month? Let’s imagine you get offered to buy a house that you could rent for $4,000 per month- almost $50k per year tax-free with no vacancy, no repairs, and no headache- for the whopping price of… $15,000. That’s the value in optimizing your benefit.
The problem is if a HLR review is completed and then also denied, at that point you have two denials only strengthening the VA's case against you. There is some benefit to the appeal instead.
#1 mistake I made was using DAV as my representative😢

It’s a hit a miss sometimes . I had a fully developed claim and got denied . My buddy had nothing in service and civilian for 20 plus years and got service connected. But it took hive 2-3 years at the BVA
I know a guy who hired a lawyer he went from 20 to 100 percent.

Dealing with the gov is a hassle. My wife and I had issues with immagrantion. Some of the immagrantion officials that interview you are pretty rough. Some will deny you a green card. We hired lawyer it's expensive. There's lots of paperwork and forms involved.
Ive submitted my claims with my military medical records. Is that enough?

Personal statements for each condition
Once prepared with an optimal claim - Is there any difference to filing a claim through a VSO at a regional office (such as friendly connection with raters)? Or is it the same to simply submit yourself online?
@vaclaimsacademy

It’s better to file yourself as it greatly reduces risk for error

@@vaclaimsacademy thank you genuinely for what you’re doing and for the reply. I’m a younger (33) AF veteran. 50% currently - for celiac disease and bi lateral knees. I submitted an intent to file in May 2023. And would like to file a complete claim for all the following. I am very nervous though: Ive been out for 10 years now, but I have documented, diagnosed anxiety in service, now diagnosis is GAD with evidence of significant social and professional impairment. I am considering adding depression and or insomnia as secondary to anxiety. Also have documented back pain in service with a trauma fall on record with ER notes. Current diagnosis is DDD, herniated discs, radiculopathy, stenosis etc. Secondary effects to one or both of those include insomnia and headaches. I also intent to file for GERD and gastritis (diagnosed) secondary to celiac. And sinusitis, asthma, hypersensitivity skin condition and tinnitus. I have personal statements written for each condition with medical records referenced throughout. I also have letters from employers and statements from family and friends. While I have a fair amount of service records showing clear path to current diagnoses, I am lastly working to obtain nexus letters or opinions from my specialists/PMC. Is there anything else you suggest I do or don’t do here?

@@vaclaimsacademy I wanted to note - my goal is to obtain P & T. Is this something I literally ask for in my claim? And is this a realistic goal? The VSO officer for the DAV made it seem like it was way too lofty for someone in their early 30s
