I am a native english speaker, and I am reminded of the beauty of linguistics in these videos. And specifically how Latin is intimately connected to spanish, italian and a few other languages. That is the bridge in some ways.

Transparent. Synonym: Clear Spanish/Latin: Claritas (Clarity, Brightness) (Latin)Luminos: the lights Et cetera (and the rest) I hope this transparent comment can shed light upon the luminous beauty of language.

I have a TESOL endoresement and English is my native language. I'm not a fan of the EXTREMELY overused and sensationalistic "stop saying"hook.
Excellent and very helpful vocabulary lesson especially for people where English is a second language. Kudos, thanks and wish you all the best.

You fill a gap that is sorely needed. I’m a native English speaker, and the rundown was surprisingly helpful. Just a note: It might be good to mention that there are other synonyms for very- words, e.g., egregious for very bad.
There is no end of learning. It's definitely a divine abundance and direct blessing to embrace you as a teacher. It's rare to find such great mentor like you these days. I will be at your debts forever. Countless thanks for your invaluable lessons beyond time and space. All the best sir.

Fellow teacher here. In the US (at least in my region), we don't seem to have the same rules with really and very. At least, all of your examples of when one is incorrect are used frequently. I admit the ones you indicate to be correct sound a tad better.
