Always happy for having a teacher like laura.
really useful tips. I hear native speakers saying those things.Thank you.
Big fan of laura.wish you have healthy life....god bless you
When I was in colkege, I knew quite a few Japanese exchange students. I noticed that it was VERY hard for them to answer a question with a definite NO. I asked a friend why it was so, and hesaid, "It's very rude to say No without checking with another person." They will say "let me check", " I need to think about it", but here's the weird part, they won't say no, but they will MEAN it. I explained to him that Americans expect a No right away, because we are usually very direct people... If you mean no, say no. So he turned it into a joke... He would answer me with a No, then start laughing. If he would try that with his friends from home I don't know what would hapoen.
Laura I like your style of speaking . Could you tell us about lip shapes and tongue position in vowels
My English language teacher in the 60s taught us never to us a participle of the archaic verb, 'to get', on the grounds that it wasn't necessary in modern UK English. For every infringement of his 'to get' rule, he would deduct one point from an essay.
Useful and intriguing video
Thank you. good teachers

Good one! Though @6:18 "I wish I(missing) knew!"
Wow, you just look so fantastic Lora
👍👍
You forgot a classic: 'Uhhh... dunno. I'm not a doctor,' as uttered by Karl Pilkington. There's also the Americanism 'don't get me started lying.'
Thanks, it’s a good collection. Small remark: in no. 15, the second “I” is missing from the caption. (I wish “I” knew.)
