Stop Rushing Your Baby

Can we just leave our bodies alone?!
Listen, I get it. By the time we are late into the #thirdtrimester , we are OVERRRRR ITTTTT. I was too (and will likely feel like that again this time).
However, our bodies and babies know exactly when and how to do it’s thing.
There are too many outdated research studies that have convinced mamas that we must have a baby by a certain date or even be in labor a certain amount of time.
I’m here to share with you that your body can and should take as little or as long as it needs to have your baby. For some of us, it might take awhile. For others, it might be fast and furious. Either way, it’s usually okay.
Unless there’s a true medical reason (these things you should be aware of before going into labor), we should leave our bodies alone.
Did you know that by intervening with your body to either trigger labor to begin or speed up labor, you could actually be making it more difficult for yourself or your baby? (These sorts of interventions should be left for true medical reasons to get baby out sooner rather than later).
One of the things I love to teach families is how giving birth can look when it’s completely undisturbed. For the first time, we witness a calm, peaceful and powerful birthing experience - very different than we’re exposed to in the media.
So many of us desire an #unmedicatedbirth yet we are walking into that experience with fear, anxiety and misinformation. Those three things are a recipe for intervention and tough labor (just keeping it 💯).
So, how do we have the unmedicated births that we want?
We listen to our bodies.
We trust our bodies.
We stay in our place of peace.
We prepare for birth from a natural birth expert.
We overcome our fears.
We are patient.
We are supported.
We are connected to our bodies and babies.
I can help you do all of these things. Enroll in Werk Your Birth and I will hold your hand to help you walk into birth confident and empowered. Link in my bio.

So did I until baby came after 41 weeks, got stuck on my pelvis, and had me in back labor for multiple days. I had a panic attack after 2 days and got pain meds so that I could sleep. Support parents where they are at, medicated or not.

Probably needed to read this, this morning. Going on 41 weeks tomorrow! Trying everything natural to acupunture to avoid this induction date in a few days🙏🏿. I hope he comes on his own
