Hello Ezra, for those who end up impacted as a result of regular q-tipping I recommend ear wax softening drops twice per month. Thanks for watching!

Oil in the ear to soften the wax, ear syringe (blue bulb, uses water to flush the ear canal) to clear the wax. To be honest though, when you have a full impaction like this, you want to go see a physician or certified professional to have it removed.

"Don't clean your ears with cotton swabs" says the guy who makes money clearing out ears that haven't been cleaned in years 😅 I've been cleaning my ears everyday with a cotton swab since childhood, and I've never had a huge plug develop. Dr. J, how exactly does Q-tipping cause this? 🤔

Thank you! Finally someone with common sense. Can you imagine if a dentist told everyone stop flossing and brushing? Then he gets to fit everyone with dentures after their teeth rotted away. And all the sheep go, okay. People: hygiene is never bad. If someone tells you to stop practicing hygiene, look for their ulterior motive. I cannot imagine allowing my ears to get like this. Can you imagine the stench? The discomfort?? I’ve used a qtip to clean my ears every single day of my life after every shower. I have never had a wax buildup. I’ve never even had an ear infection. Hygiene. What a concept

@@joanwoods7740 Not if you use cotton swabs REGULARLY and PROPERLY before you get an ear full of wax in the first place. Of course one couldn't clear this mess with a Q-Tip once it formed 🙄. My point was prevent it in the first place with hygiene.
