    My Aussiedoodle just turned 8 week old (we got her at 7wks) She’s gotten pretty good at understanding being in the crate at night and potty training. Shes pretty good at not biting too hard with me when it comes playing and nipping but with strangers or family, she gets really excited and bites a lot harder. Like, I know she knows she’s not suppose to bite because she’ll try to do it more subtle in tiny bites, but she do them really fast like rat lol and those hurt the absolute most. What directions should I give to people who are playing with her? Or can I mitigate that with solo training? Thanks for all your videos, they’ve helped her a lot and I feel like she’s on a good path to being a balanced dog.

    Our boy was a constant biter from the minute he arrived! He wasn't interested in toys (ok, maybe we had all the wrong ones!) We were taught to leave the room for one minute, then return. You have to repeat this over and over, of course! Now 6 months the biting has come way down to predictable, ocassional nipping, like when I'm trying to towel-dry him after a walk. Hope your puppy has settled now, too! 🙂

    This was a great video. We were getting a little worried that we had to stop the nipping and we weren't working hard enough. But it is good to know we can't stop it, we can just manage it. And this was a good reminder that she needs closed crate time! We have watched your other videos but we have become complacent because she does sleep on her bed a lot while we are working so we have been letting her be out most of the day. And at night she becomes a little rowdy!

    My pup is 8 weeks old and just got him 2 days ago. No problem with the crate training however the nipping at my hands every time I reach down to pick him up is a small problem so now I realize my hand movements and going to fast is what may be causing him to want to play like that. thank you I will keep watching your videos!

    I like that this is realistic advice! So many other ‘trainers’ say do this or do that and puppy biting will be done in a week! And when the puppy biting ultimately doesn’t stop in a week (because that’s not how it works!) then you feel like a failure as a dog parent. She give realistic advice but always a timeline so you know that these things take time. I got my hound puppy at 8 weeks old and his biting was Really bad for several weeks and I’ve been doing all sorts of trainings and brain games and all the things from day one with him but the incessant biting wouldn’t stop. He is 13 weeks old now and we’re seeing improvement! He still does it of course that urge isn’t completely gone but it’s getting better little by little and day by day. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel that this behavior won’t last forever!

Do you have any tips on how to get your puppy to stop playing tug with things. Example: my puppy LOVES chewing and playing with the corners of my carpet and my curtains. I distract her with toys and treats but they dont always work. Any ideas?

    Hello from Jakarta. We’ve been watching some of your videos. And we come to a conclusion that puppy needs a quite strict schedule, especially with the nap time. Me and my daughter have been training our puppy and so far she still keep on nipping on me Hehe. But yes, we keep on trying and being patient with our “baby” 😆 Oh and the positive things from our pup are she’s smart and cute 😁. She brings a lot of joy in a time like this. Oh I have another question, so one day we gave her a bone to chew and after a while I found out that one of her tiny teeth fell off and bleed. We’re worried what will happen if she lose her teeth? Do you think I should bring her to the vet? Thank you so much for reading this🙏🙏 Ps. She’s a 3 months old frenchie

    Puppies do lose their teeth around 4 to 5 months (some sooner, some later). It's normal to see a little blood on a toy occasionally. Always check with your vet if you are concerned.

    Just got my cocker spaniel puppy two weeks ago. She already knows sit, lay down and come. She is already paper trained and now learning to use doggy door to go outside. She loves the water, we have a water feature with waterfalls and I cant leave her unattended because she jumps in it. She swims well but i cant keep her out of it. Any tips.

    Hello, My puppy is 8 weeks old. How long of a walk should I be giving him? A relative was saying just take him to one spot and then back in the house since he is young. Also, outside seems to him as play time.

  • @kateg9437

    @kateg9437

    8 week old puppies probably arent vaccinated enough for a walk. Dont walk your dog until the vet has said it's okay. You can exercise them in the house and garden, until the get slower to respond. You can also take young puppies on "carry walks" where you hold them and walk around outside so that they get used to the different smells, sights and sounds before they can go on a proper walk
