@@davidj3841 you’re missing the point. There is absolutely no direct counter to maverick and he can do anything any other hard breacher can and more. Yes, you don’t need to maverick trick it if it’s not electrified or muted but you can tons of information with him before you decide whether or not you want to open the wall.

Such an important video mate! In my opinion there is just one thing that should be added for really new Maverick players. If you can't rappel on a wall, you should do the upper torch line first and then the one below. When doing it like this at the Server wall for example, there is no need for a mate at the Server window, since the defenders can't see your feet anyway.

You can make the mav hole on top but have it smaller. Any C4 will get stuck on the hole so you just need to back away from a bit. Ask a teammate to waste a smoke or flash in case of Jager or Wamai and then nade the electic off the wall.

With the attic push on Oregon we like to burn a line along the bottom on the left and have one teammate sat back down the stairs at eye level with it. Then the Mav can burn his crouch entry on the right behind the boxes. It’s free picks usually from the angle and you’re into attic before they know what’s happened. A nomad to cover the flanks is perfect too.

Pengu did a great Maverick tutorial on stream today. He talked all about risk assessment and how many angles you could die from. Always think of what is needed to kill you when you’re maving the wall.

I’m confused on why you choose to repel outside cctv when it’d be electrocuted when you said don’t use the nade to get it.

i use mav like in the beginning of the vid. but i put the hole on a top corner, and throw the nade in at an angle to not get nitro'd. i almost never die to a nitro and i get kills with the nades as well. then we get the wall open. personally i think ppl overcomplicate mav.

I literally do the same, get the batteries off the wall then cook my second nade as we get the wall, almost always get the kill on a bandit trying to trick or rotate

@@Apen_melker if you put it right on the corner literally the only way you can die is either if they stand right in front of the drone hatch (which is a stupid spot to stand anyway), or if they stand right underneath and the nitro catches the edge (which does also happen if you do it like this guy anyway)

this video was 10/10 really good and informative and I learnt a lot I might start playing Maverick a lot now that I know how to use him properly and now that you showed me some actual executions on some maps, and all your other content is much appreciated to.

Do you have any kind of adivce for making the wall soft when the defenders have shot holes in the soft wall before reinforcing it, or is it just practice with these kind of walls?

I'm playing alot of azami recently. I just close the hole with an azami resulting in maverick killing himself with some teammates by blocking the nade and sending it right back to them.

When you are on clubhouse trying to open dirt/tunnel (or whatever u wanna call it (into site downstairs)) and there is a bandit or a mute on the wall, u can just prone into the drone hall, shoot it and not waste frags or whatever. If there is Kaid, well...u can't get it like this, but this is really helpful. If the bandit/mute takes a bit time to put them there, u can get a kill on them thru the drone hall

I get the cctv strat but if it has a bandit on it, how are you supposed to repel, since it's most likely gonna be electrified? At that point why not just bring a thermite plus (insert utility clearer here)?

I love using Maverick’s torch to open the bottom of a door to enter buildings. It’s pretty quiet. Then you crouch and go in silently. I can’t tell you how many roamers I catch off guard.

I still do the same now and make walls soft sometimes too but the only difference with him is he has no nades anymore so it just requires teamwork just a little more

So other than burning a hole in the bottom of the wall and making a therm feel awkward, how should you get rid of bandits or kaids? Cause turning the wall soft will kill you if the wall is electrified.

You can still kill maverick with c4 even when he’s tricking, the downside is that any utility you have on the wall will be destroyed so it’s very risky if you don’t get the kill.

I’m a fairly new Maverick player. I’ve played Siege since release but went on long breaks and never played it competitively. I use the strat you were saying not to but I don’t open a hole that big. I’m in low ranks (Gold II to Plat III) so people don’t have the aim to throw a nitro at me through the small hole I make.

Great guide. As a hard support player myself since people in my team refuse to play hard breach I'm glad you made this video. Also may I ask which skin you've got on the M4?

what skin is that on mav i can't seem to find it?

I mav hole on the left side corner and i make it small so only the nade goes through it and c4 doesn't come from it and the trick is to bounce the nade from the corner pilar

I disagree, I think Maverick can be a great solo op. He can open enforced walls, has a low recoil gun, and has nades

The thing is that as a hard breacher you need to have a little trust with your teammates and those names are hard to use without having someone else burn ads/aruni walls/magnets. He's a fine solo q op but there are much better options

plus you can always just nade open the wall once it is soft like an impact nade I've had to do this a lot when solo queuing and getting the nade timing is tough but if you learn it you can ALWAYS open the wall on your own Only wall I struggle with a lot on my own is the one in kanel top floor - without someone to help clear box maving is super hard :D

Why did he talk about rappeling since the reason u mav is bcoz of electricity, and on a mute jammed wall u can just thermite from rappel. Or do high ranked players mute the walls a lot?

That’s why you make a smaller hole and stay close to the wall.

You are easy to kill if you’re getting the wall while prone. And if you’re a skilled maverick then you should be able to get the bottom while crouched

Don't you know that the cc wall should breach the right wall, not the left wall? Opening the right wall is unconditionally beneficial to the attacking team. First, breaching the left wall is very dangerous because you can peek to the garage door from the east stairway. Second, you have to open the right wall to prevent the defense team from standing up on the second floor of the garage. I think this video can have a negative impact on people who don't know this. Other tips were very useful.

I kinda main mav but im not experienced cuz i play every once in a while but i only have 20fps cuz...shit laptop bought by my asian parents when i asked for a gaming one back in 2015. So yea still using it. N the crouch n standing holes or lines r something i somehow never thought of...idk how. But its so good. I feel more confident internally now HAHAH knowing that when i buy a gaming setup in the future. Im not just watching 1 hole or line feelings useless

Have you thought of like making a hole at the bottom then placing a claymore that doesn’t sound that bad

I disagree with the prone, while doing the bottom line to destroy the reinforce i think that proning is the best way to do it, why? Because while proning and moving away from a place you torch gives u a bit lower chance of getting damage and also gives you an ideal speed, you torch the reinforce fast and gas efficiently its really good tempo, anyway the reppeling method is also very good in my opinion but not available all the time. The video is great learnt a few things to main my mav better 👍

Once the wall turns to soft the enemy throw a c4 on it, you cant runaway and you're dead. Both blow torch ways can work if you stand close to the Wall they cant nitro you btw.

There is a way to counter mav on cctv c4 bottom left if your maving he can blow the c4 and it kills him

I like all the advice given here, I use Mav religiously. The only thing I would add is when it comes to how sneaky he is. Which is why I always run a Surpressor on the m4. I can almost always get into the building without being noticed. And when you can kill the people roaming and the other players still have no clue wtf happened, you still have the advantage. Mav is probably the most under used underrated character on offense if not the game.

so im very torn between vertical grip and angled because I can control it with both but idk which one is more optimal

The advantage the angled gives you is so minuscule you pretty much can’t tell. Run vertical.

flashes, claymore plays are pretty funny when you put one behind a reinforced wall and make a small hole for the laser but flashes are probably the attackers best gadget now that frags cant be cooked

If you would have just stayed closer to the hole the nitro wouldn’t have killed you but hey as someone who runs mav I’d also say mav tricking is the safest way to open it

I think if you play maverick as hb. support not as hb. the big hole on the to of the wall is great.

Great guide to lose 50% of your health to bandit / kaid electricity on the wall 😂 oh and that juggling on the wall 100% someone is gonna step up and shoot anything visible... sorry but this strat hasn't been viable for about 2 year now on Club house, and it fell of rather quickly as people figured out how exposed he is doing that Make the hole smaller, stay close to wall as c4 blast cant reach you there. Throw your nade and have thermite or ace stand ready (thermite can time the nade removing utility as hes charge takes a little time to put on the wall and this makes it look like a insta breach) Mav is not designed to be the breacher, he's there to assist the breacher by creating opportunity to remove utility or apply pressure

100% agree. What I’ve found to make it easier is to not touch the right stick and only use the left thumb stick to move to make your mav lines. Drawing with the right stick is too inconsistent. But it’s easier if you come up to the wall, angle yourself, and then start torching while walking parallel to the wall

I played with a mate on an alt. The Mav did a hole on the CC-wall/plat. But he didn't Mav the top middle metal stick and threw 2 nades at it (spoiler they both bounced back and killed one of our teammates). Then he thought ''huh the hole isn't big enough, I'm gonna make it bigger'' (after he had no nades left) so he made it so big... and low may I add, so people in cash could see all over plat. Just sat back and looking at it all unfolding *dying inside* This was in gold elo, I think this video is strongly needed for the community!!!

Now I have a good excuse to always play Mav, thanks. I felt absolutely useless with my utility, I just liked the gun.
