A little point about foil: a lot of Customs barriers at airports use x-ray machines to check for contraband. Foil can be picked up by x-ray and is usually associated with drug trafficking, so it is a really bad idea to pack foil with your luggage!

And if you're going to a convenience store after you get there for bacon anyway, spend a buck for foil. Or use the money for a cheap breakfast - it's the cheapest meal of the day pretty much anywhere you go.

I worked in a 5 star hotel housekeeping for a while - can confirm everything is DISGUSTING. As long as it LOOKS clean, they're happy. Wiping the glasses/mugs/cutlery with the same cloth as the toilet and floor? No problem. Nothing is actually clean. Also if you put oil and noodles in your coffee maker, everyone's gonna hate you after you leave and the next guest comes in complaining their coffee tastes weird.

@@NYCTim Food doesn't have to be dreadful in order to be healthy. Have you tried different culture food cuisines mainly of south, east and south asians such as indian, nepalese, thai, malaysian and japanese etc? The foreign foods that you get served in the restaurants of the West are most of the time luxury / "banquet party" foods which may not also be considered healthy by us. But our home foods are most of the time absolutely healthy and you can easily look those up and try it. Take south east cuisine for example consisting of rice, lentils, broth, vegetables, beans and spices for example. You can even swap out white rice for brown rice to go more healthier but it would ruin the taste a bit.

This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. kzread.infoUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

But typical usa person in this comment section who said that prisons are basicly for suffering. No wonder why usa get so many hard criminals after prisons. In Norway (and.i assume also Denmark) the point of prisons are ofc to serve time for the crimes, but at same time it also have purpose to try change the criminals life into being more civilized and productive citizen. Education, programs, library, internet (under control), etc. So his/her odds of becoming a good citizens after prison increases. Not like in usa where prisons are almost a training ground on how to become menber of gangs.

I know I"m a year too late but, I head the bit regarding why pack when you can just buy there? It depends on the price of things. I went to california for a school related trip, and it was cheaper to bring my own bottles of water than trying to buy the water there. So sometimes people pack foods because they already have it or it's cheaper than where there destination is, and then buy at destination for things they can't get at home, or are more expensive at home.

That, that right there is the most dangerous part of those videos. You do NOT know who is using the room after you and some people are so deathly allergic to things that just the smell can put them in the hospital.

@@abcd-hw8io the idea of this video is that you’re using a HOTEL coffee pot to cook in. And I don’t know about you, but I don’t really want to put my life in the hands of someone who barely makes minimum wage and has next to no oversight when it comes to cleaning. I knew someone who was a hotel housekeeper. They were told that if it ‘looked’ clean then to just give it a causal wipe down for dust and move on.

Good tips. I stop at grocery store as soon as I land. Makes me feel at home and I can buy a few things to keep in the room, grapes, cheese, crackers. Never tried the coffee maker or iron. Some people are living in hotels now. Yikes. I do bring my rice cooker to AirBNBs, though. I make good Tinola soup. Delicious! Bring your stuff and aluminum foil. Some hotel rooms have stoves and refrigerator. Then no problem!
