Hi, my daughter's laptop is an HP one. It went black with flickering lines. I tried hard reset, removed and put back battery, checked id the RAM came loose (as she said she fell with the laptop in her bag) and such. The screen then went full black. I did a BIOS recovery, seemed to have resolved the issue. Did the driver updates. Battery is 100%, generated report, did not find anything obvious. All looked good until I removed the external power supply. It goes back to black screen with flickering lines. Any ideas ? Thanks

@@curesnow6493 I suggest you go directly change the screen, it's not too expensive, cause I just did.

The 2nd option worked for me but its resolution scale is less and the brightness is locked (unchangeable)

No sht.. Thank you for showing us your knowledge! I searched for my display adapter, and 3 popped up. I selected the 2nd one. And BOOM. My screen has stopped flickering... thank you.

Saya punya laptop Asus UX 31 Core i5. Semua lampu indikator menyala tapi tidak ada tampilan sedikitpun. Saya menduga hal itu di sebabkan oleh kegagalan laptop saya saat bermigrasi dari Windows 7 ke Windows 10 dengan memakai MEDIA CREATION. Saat itu bermigrasinya hampir selesai 100 persen tetapi entah disebabkan karena sesuatu yang tidak saya mengerti lalu tiba-tiba migrasi itu di nyatakan gagal & sekian bulan kemudian laptop saya mati perlahan-lahan. Mungkin Windows 7 saya ditimpa oleh MEDIA CREATION sehingga tidak ada tampilan sedikitpun. Tanggapan anda bagaimana ?. Apakah saya perlu & harus menuntut ke MEDIA CREATION ?. Lalu caranya bagaimana ?. Saya ingin mendiagnosa motherboardnya dengan memakai laptop lainnya tanpa harus memakai multi tester ?. Apakah itu memungkinkan ?.

what if its a hardware problem? working fine on the external screen connected via usbc to hdmi cable. I openned my laptops back to see if I could upgrade the ram 😅 (instead of looking it up online if its integrated/onboard) but yeah afterwards it was flickering. so maybe I damaged something. I dont know how. I disconnected the battary etc. I wore gloves. dont know how I damaged the screen cables.

Bro I'm getting flickering when I try to open bios how to solve this issue?

there isn't a problem when i play games or stay still in the homescreen but when i watch videos on youtube or watch movies on the internet my screen moves downwards a little bit for a split-second, then it turns to normal. it happens in every 2 minutes or something and it really annoys me. i did many virus scans via McAfee but it always said there isn't a danger.

I think i just lost my laptop. It wont stop flickering when i power it on and its unusable Before this happened i reset my laptop completely then it got stuck on 14% for hours and i held the power button till it switched off since then my laptops been flickering when i turn it on so theres nothing i can access since the screen is flickering and its reset

Hey, I got the same thing going on. This looks like a trend. You're the second person in the string you said this. Did you guys come up with any resolutions? I got the flicker in screen and then it goes away if you plug it in I need to go away eventually, if you don't plug it in but immediately goes away when you plug it in so it is related Through the power state

Do you have any idea what it means? If the screen sets itself. Correct if you plug it in and also I don't believe it flickers while plugged into the power supply Ever at all. I don't know is this point to something that i'm missing that you all kno???

Turn on safe mode then uninstall the driver

@@nikosraftis4103 I'm pretty sure I fixed mine mess around with your power profile settings. A change mind from balance to high performance And haven't had the screen flickering problem since. I'm still working on it. But I believe the only 7 that really needs to be changed is the display adapter power managementhat's right, you don't want it doing anything different from charging to being on battery, so put it on high performance That might be the only setting you need and you could do whatever you want with the others. Also mine. I wouldn't call it flickering it more or less has a whole bunch of lines horizontal and you can barely read the screen. And this only happens when the computer is unplugged. Mine works perfectly when it's plugged in. Also I had success with changing the refresh rate from 60 Hz to 40 Hz. But it kind of sucked you could see how much slower everything was moving. But it also did completely stop the glitching. Also I should add that i'm running windows ten on a dell laptop that does not support windows ten Officially. On the window seven yes you didn't even exist But my customer Wanted windows ten.
