Yeah, I've been running D&D for a while now and trying to figure out what kind of enemies are actually going to give your players a hard time is actually REALLY difficult. Sometimes- like the Ox guys, they are really good at coming up with impromptu traps and defences like the infamous meat grinder that makes facing multiple foes irrelevant, but then also very good at taking down a single much stronger foe. Also, somehow, the Ox crew seem to be really good at just pulling solutions out of no where somewhere by somehow combining what they think will be funny into real strategies.

I recommend having him come across a group of melee enemies that prioritise dodging and staying alive, while someone like a ranger or sniper specced warlock does the damage from somewhere no one can reach. force them to do something creative. of course, they'll probably just throw a cat/bear/elf at the problem and it'll all be fine

It doesn't help that Johnny lets them get away with practically anything. For example, Dob's move with the heated hammer swing should have been 3 whole actions. One to tie the rope, one to cast Heat Metal, and one to make the attack, and then he didn't even make Dob roll for the attack. This should have taken three turns to do XD

@@maxvel0city906 oh 100%, the atmosphere is great and gets you really hyped up! Plus it's cool how they encourage the occasional bit of interaction and yelling out things, makes you feel more involved (I may or may not be the "Love you Corazon!" at the start...). I'd definitely recommend it if you get the chance to go, though if you do it's absolutely worth queuing early to get a good view!

So… Middle management failures, orphan mortar and unionized skeletons Voltron. I did not know what to expect, but it certainly wasn't that o_0 I honestly have no idea how johnny manages to go with the nonsense, but it is glorious to behold !

As a former internal auditor I can tell you that the issue of whether Health & Safety sit within HR's purview is oft-contested...and mostly by HR!

If H&S is considered to be part of HR as an organisational unit, the head of HR would have ultimate responsibility for managing H&S risk whereas if it's a separate organisational unit, someone else owns that risk (a head of H&S). H&S risk tends to be 'greater' as it may result in a very significant impact if not managed, so (perhaps understandably) HR heads aren't keen to consider it part of their remit! Sorry this is such a boring answer 😁

There's just one question... if the skeletons are cursed... and they removed the orphan paste from the walls of the orphanage... what's holding the bricks in place?.... oh no.... * Meer moments after the oxband leave, the overly extravagant orphanage begins to tumble under it's own weight. Bricks wildly jut out from immense pressure that could only be the result of a curse, and a domino effect destroys the whole town.* Corazon: I can't believe this, we made those idiots a perfectly normal town WITH A PUB and all we got out of it is a lousy hammer with the magic to kill something that we just finished killing! How am I suppose to pitch that to buyers!? Dob: Wasn't the point to fix and build a home for the townsfolk? Prudence: Tell that to the orphans. *Dobs eyes give a wide sad impression of a depressed puppy* Corazon: Oh great Prune, he just got over that after 3 weeks of sulking and now I'm the one that has to order Egbert to mop Dob's tears off the Damnation's poop deck. Merylwen: Guys, we should just rejoice that the nice townsfolk have a place to live and the death of the skeletons means life is back to the natural order. *Egbert gets distracted by his own tail and looks back to notice the town in the distance is now on fire and in rubble* and that is the power of the word *YET*.

If I counted right, excluding the chairs because we never heard how many there were: Dob: 58 kills, includes 15 orphans. Prudence: 46. Egbert: 19. Merrilwen: 11. Corazon: 6. I excluded the bosses from Wild, Wild Woods, An Orcward Adventure, and A Fishmas Carol, those were shared team kills.

She liberated a temple for him, murdered an innocent guard, murdered a goblin before he could offer up any information, destroyed a skeleton Voltron, and helped, made no attempt to warn Egbert that his actions could seriously pollute a forest river even more than the kobolds did. I think she's doing fine.

I think Prudence was proud of Dob for murdering all those orphans, mayhap he could be turned to a follower of Cthulhu, along with Egbert. I'd say it's more about the long game with Cthulhu than the number of kills. She converted the fish people, reclaimed a temple, and now acquired a potentially powerful magic item, along with the lesser book of elder ones that she acquired in Plunder Siege. She's becoming more powerful, that's more important than the number of kills. If she can convert a cupla her party members, Cthulhu would be very pleased.

No mention how the Pirate has the least kills?

At around 51 minutes there's something really sweet about the skelles trying just so hard

kippers would probably end up in dobs papoose in like 10 seconds and at least till now every npc that has gon into the papoose has survived

I just realized a little internal shriek of the DM when Dob said "You wanna keep the ophans IN the orphanage"

This episode has some of my *favorite* moments in the series. From Dob’s badass flaming swinging hammer straight out of a hack-and-slash to supposed weakling Corazon knocking down Skeletron in a single move to Prudence’s epic finishing blow, the creativity of this crew makes for some of the best combat scenarios I’ve ever seen. Congratulations to everyone, and I can’t wait for the next episode!

Johnny: are skeletons intelligent? Me: no, cause they’re bone heads!

Another!? Truly, we are spoiled!

I love how everyone seems to have settled on their costumes. While Andy/Corazón are constantly switching between many pirate fashions. Very on brand for them both.

Dob:"Ok skeleton, make me a turkey sandwich. And I dont want any zombie sandwich or any of that nonsense." *skeleton makes sandwich* Dob:"ok seems ok, lettuce is frsh and crisp, good mustard, meat is a little dry...THE MEAT IS A LITTLE DRY. AND MADE FROM ORPHANS!!!"

Dob: I’m just here for a good time! Proceeds to orchestrate the murder of several orphans.

And here we see Johnny's descent into madness. On the left, you'll witness him muttering "grease......fire.....why is it always Eldritch blast....the orphans" in his sleep.

Love the look Jonny has when dob says hammer the first time.

Wow... those poor orphans.. also, I l LOVE that Dob went straight to the idea of a Warlock making zombie orphans over a Cleric who might be able to bring them back to life. We stan one (1) Half Orc oxventurer

Johnny is the MVP for rolling with those punches.

"You wanna do a Battle Royale ?" I shouldn't be surprised at this.

yep this episode is what you get when the DM gives you a bum lead

I think we can all agree, Prudence being carried around by skeletons is A MOOD for all of 2019
