Can I say.. I landed on this video because everything opened to Edge after my work lap top updated. Every now and again, this will happen and I will again, land on this video to help me default the changes. I find myself here once again to help my colleague adjust her settings due to an update. Thank you. One of my programs updated and I could only open my pdfs in edge browser. Now they open in Acrobat Pro 2017, which I purchased a couple years ago. I appreciate the way you take us step by step and make it easy to understand. Really appreciate this video.

Thanks for your help. I had still been using Explorer until when I tried to open it it would open edge instead a month or 2 ago. I open files in there and I had been hating having to go to downloads to open them in acrobat. I finally got tired of it enough to do a search to fix this, your video was very helpful. Thanks so much

Thank You So Much ! For my computer Your Fix still worked after I did a restart. So glad to see that Bing Logo in the top right corner of a PDF GONE !!! It is very unnerving to see a web browser symbol when you're opening a PDF with personal information. God Bless You Chard !

You're a legend mate!. So beautifully explained! Thankyou as when I tried to print a pdf from microsoft edge part of the page was corrupted and cut off at the bottom and when I resized it still one of the pages printed out corrupted. It's tricky, I don't trust it.

In order for it to work, you MUST unpin MS Edge from the taskbar. Then you can search the file type at bottom of "default apps" settings page.. find pdf..and change it. Done.

This doesn't work for me as of today. Maybe something has changed? Microsoft seems to be trying to force me to use their edge browser even immediately reverting back to edge after I change it to Adobe Reader. Anyone else seeing this?

Yeah, that's some sneaky $h!t from MS, for sure! You set the default handler and their browser doesn't respect it! I hate MS for doing this sort of thing. Good on ya for finding this little tweak!
