STOP Buying Baits That Don't Catch Bass (Bassmaster's Lure Selection Tips)

Спорт

Selecting soft plastic lures for bass fishing doesn't have to be complicated. Keep your styles and colors limited to a few that you have confidence in or that Bass University pros say can catch fish all over the country (think green pumkin, black & blue, etc). In this class Bassmaster Elite Series professional tournament angler shares tips on fishing Yum creature baits as trailers on a jig and other soft plastic bass fishing tips and preferred rigs.

One thing I feel fisherman must learn is STOP buying luers based mostly on that those luers worked for THAT fisherman on YT UNLESS you are very confident these same luers will work for you in YOUR lakes I am a shore fisherman I have a good number of good bass lakes near my home if fishing conditions are anything even approaching good you will average 6 fish per four hours in all these lakes if conditions are good that number will least double and likely triple These lakes all have the following things in common They are are rather clear lakes with normal visibility over 2' From shore they are shallow average depth less than 10' By this time of year the aquatic vegetation growth has made using any luer that isn't as weedless as possible a waist of a cast so myself buying 90% of of crank baits jerk baits even jigs would be essentially a waist of money as save for a few weeks from march till mid April they otherwise would sit unused in my tackle box My advice to all fisherman especially shore fisherman is make sure that luer will work in your lake before you buy it. Now in my lakes I fish 90% of the time from now till deer season ends my bass fishing its frogs top water and weedless soft plastics and on a rare occasion when there is a weed free section accessible from shore a crank bait usually a minnow bait that can not dive more than 1-2' worked on near the surface like a wounded dying bait fish the last 2 hours before dark I honestly dont know what I do if it weren't for being able to fish a Texas rigged fluke as it never ceases to astonishe me just how well a T-Rigged 5" or 7" fluke comes through lilly pads and weeds literally impenetrable to all other luers and just absolutely hammers the bass.
