An atom is not destroyed in a larger machine, but lives out its life as part of something greater. Even if it is unaware, it gets companionship, motion, and if the collection of atoms becomes larger and geometry more perfect, it presses down and heats up in the vibrations of atoms interacting we call heat. Then we see the explosion of light we call suns, reflected on Earth in the fire in the crystal diamond also produced by enlightened atoms. The transformation of the atom into gold and every other element comes from the quickening in suns. Earth will also be transformed by the heat of our own vibrations in the internet and AI technology aspects of the scientific age.
