You're totally spot on! We are struggling to conceive for 16 years and sick n tired of all these silly questions especially from nosey aunties, they first try look at you up n down thinking there's a belly there and when they can't spot it then come the questions. Health issues etc is a huge reason for me but it still is possible for us. All I reply to them aunties is Just do duaas for us, Allah will bless us when time is right.

This is an Asian thing they would never let these question go... They don’t have a topic to talk about so these are the questions they start asking: 1) what are you studying? 2) when are you getting married? 3) when are you having a child ? 4) when’s the 2nd one coming ? 5) 3rd one coming soon ? 6) a 4th one how are you going to deal ?! Never will stop and these are the questions that have been asked to themselves aswell... Mostly older aunties or people that don’t have anything else to discuss... Let us live our life in peace we want to enjoy our life in our own way. You are not part of the relationship please don’t get involved. Thank you for understanding !

As excited as I am to get married this year in sha Allah khair - I'm scared for this because who knows, like what if I want a child but I can't have a child when I want one? They never stop do they? They always ask you when you getting married ? then when you having a kid then they ask about second ones. It’s so annoying

Exactly! People can’t just be happy for where you are currently and let you enjoy that phase of life 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

My sister in law keeps asking me every single time she calls. Yesterday I told her whenever Allah wills. Please pray for me. My husbands like , you just came here. I said i know but please make her understand. I dont know why people dont realize how hurtful it is.

I thought we were moving away from the expectation that everyone has to have children. Especially in this day and age. In my mind it’s a dated way of thinking. Some of the happiest marriages I’ve seen don’t involve children.

Right?? Me too! Children really aren’t the be all and end all, they’re a blessing and a gift but they’re also a huge commitment and a lifetime of hard work and putting a little human before yourself for a long period of time. I think I’ve seen too many parents who weren’t ready for kids, and end up taking our their frustration on the child and it’s just so tiresome then dealing with the constant barrage of questions! Why can’t people just mind their own 😩
