You have a great channel, which I found when I was in the hospital in 2021 with my own stroke. I experienced suppination a few days a ago when I was trying to screw my license plate onto my new Bronco. I've made a great recovery, and I've posted about 30 stroke recovery videos. I hope to write a book on stroke recovery, which you helped me launch. I lost complete use of my left side at one point. Now I'm about go bowling. Thank you.

My big toe has had 2 surgeries and doesn't move up enough. After 50 years I have been given an accommodative orthotic and a have a metal toe extension plate under the big toe. Always have pain in the outer ankle. Osteopaths have had me work on hip muscles, etc...and short toe foot exercise. The same leg has calf muscle loss after a laminectomy. Nothing can really solve the issue but any information you give is valuable...the gait info in your other videos, especially swinging the hip has helped!

Hey. Have subc'd recently. Learning from you. From stroke still in w/chair & walker. Foot does spass when walking & knew hyperX. Practicing walking correctly. Feel tightness in hip & thigh feels bigger than unaffected side. Was feeling like affected side leg was longer. Thanks for the your insight.

Thank you Dr Tara. I am trying these stretches for my mom. How long should one do these before attempting to walk again correctly. I have been doing these before the walking routine since the past 2 weeks but dont see much improvement in the walk. Or should one do these stretches and stand until the leg and ankle is corrected and then start walking again?

I have Cerebral Palsy. My lower leg bone rotates out. It happened because I didn’t wear my braces as a child. So now at 53, my foot rest on my pinky toe. So it’s Hard for me to walk hill to toe because my foot doesn’t point straight because my lower leg bone is bent. An afo doesn’t stop me from walking on my toe. What should I do? This leg is really weak.

How can you improve the muscles that encourage dorseflexion if you are wearing an afo. I think I should never have given in to wearing an afo in the first place. Orthotics have just given more and more extreme afos and I'm getting worse

Hi, is there any video on correcting a transversely rotated pelvis? Like if one side of the hip bone is more forward or to the front compared to the other hip bone? This kind of rotates the pelvis more towards one direction and causes lot of issues while walking and riding a motorcycle as it feels like I'm always rotated towards one side, and makes it difficult to walk straight and to take turning movements. Thanks for all your content! 🙏

What if you can't get a doctor or pt order a afo? I believe my son needs them, but we are told it won't help. I don't understand that. Doctor and pt told us he has spasticity and getting botox for it on his right side for it.

you almost definitely need an AFO if you have spasticity especially on the leg, if the tightness is so bad he needs botox then please keep pushing for an orthotic because it’s so important for the leg to learn the correct movements
