@@poorsvids4738 Wasn't the fanbase's conclusion that it is Jonathan's stand? It kinda makes sense too. Hermit purple is a crystalization of the user's Hamon and Dio is simply taking the only possible route to make use of the residual Hamon that is weakening him without blowing himself up. And the reason he stopped using it after a while is because he just thinks it sucks.

To be honest, when he is hidden in the shadows and first talk down to Polnareff on the staircase, part 3 Dio is quite similar to what we saw in Pucci's flashbacks. It's only when he fights against the crusaders that he reverts to his overly arrogant persona which we had seen in part 1.

This proves that dio is actually very nice when he isnt ur enemy

I like how when he speaks to Pucci it’s completely different to how he talks with everyone else. When DIO speaks to anyone else he has to sound like he is above them in every aspect always having the high ground. But with Pucci DIO talks like he is Pucci’s equal.

It's just something that existed before... a product of the 80s culture and Araki's wish to copy HNK. To me the later art styles are the ones that properly express Jojo, when it stopped being a HNK copycat.

I think there’s a difference in what DIO says when he’s trying to be boastful or intimidating toward his enemies, versus when he’s having a philosophical conversation with his friends. In the end he does explain what his concept of strength is. Strength is the ability to lead and make others fall in line. Survivor is weak because all it does is fill people with mindless uncontrollable rage.

I like how DIO talks to Pucci like an equal and is okay with "lowering" the lvl of the conversion, even the pause was neat cause it took him a moment for him to consider what was to him the "weakest" stand. From his POV, Survivor is terrible for him to use or to give to a minion to use, while Pucci due to his abilitiy was able to weaponize by simply making it a timed-bomb. Sidenote: I honeslty consider D'Arby Junior stand a "weak" stand cause he uses it as a crutch and how it can be easly manipulated, while his Senior brother, knows how his stands works and uses all of his skills and money at Cheating to make sure it triggers, especially since it doesnt require the Oponent to technicly lose the game, only for them to believe that they lost, wich turns it into more of a mindgame.

I'd say Oingo was the worst easily. All it did was change his face. Dio had multiple underlings who could change their entire appearance as just one ability among many (Yellow Temperance peak example), so his stand was just garbage.

I kinda wished he had gotten a stand that synergise of his brother instead of just being "I change my Face." Yellow Temperance was honeslty the best one for that sort of deal, but it was in the hands of a dumbass for the most part.

DIO's not wrong. Keep in mind, this is JBA, not DBZ. "Strong/Weak" arguments only really matter in the latter. But JJBA from Part 3 onward emphasize this: that with Stands, it's more about how you apply them intellectually. You could have one like Star Platinum that's strong in that it can punch things and stop time. But it still got overwhelmed later on by stands like Crazy Diamond, Killer Queen, and even Koichi's Echoes, Act 3 had reached an apex where it could keep up with him now. SP is really at its strongest when in situations where punching your way out is the best medicine. Having a stand involves being in the right kind of place that lets you take the greatest advantage of its strength. In Enrico Pucci's case, Whitesnake couldn't hit at Jotaro's level, but Stone Ocean's a prison setting, stone walls, confinement areas, interrogation rooms, and Whitesnake being a stand that sneaks around, steals memories and stands into Disc form, and can create illusions with the sole purpose of keeping your enemy distracted, yeah, yeah THAT is how you maximize on that kind of strength. As Pucci's evolution began, he had to leave the prison because the strength C-Moon had needed an environment where that kind of strength could be maximized and Green Dolphin Street Prison had exhausted its' usage to both the story and Pucci's plans by that point. Made In Heaven, infinite speed and all and being the next tier power-up, also had a change in battle stage; from the rooftop of the Cape Canaveral launch site, to Florida swamps and then the creation of an alternate universe.

If only Dio was like this with Jonathan ._.

Dio are manipulative as hell. in Part 1 even if he act nice there still a shit ton of malicious aura on him. that's the reason Jonathan realize if Dio are nothing more than a lunatic asshole despite the fact deep down he still 'love' his evil adopted brother. but in Part 6 Dio matured bit more so he could surpressed his Evil side for a while when manipulate Pucci but that thing alone already deeply increase his layers of evil. make us the reader/watcher hate Dio even more or end up liking him as Villain

Dio surface from oceans in 1983 Stated he learned, not witness, of The survior incident 1982. Stand arrow aren't necessary the only way to received a stand since 4 of 6 Stardust Crusaders were born Stand users expect Joseph and Jotaro with Avdol stating he see fail stand users dead from their stand awake before. The reason there are more stand users after Dio return was because Divaolo uncovered the stands arrow to force awakened other people stands.

Pucci is everything what Dio wanted from Jonathan Joestar. Someone who would challenge you in a gentleman matter, but knew Jonathan wouldn't ever side or join him.

Survivor by itself could be extremelly powerfull by sending the user in cover missions within enemy factions to tear themselves apart. Problem is, it seems it cannot be controlled by the user and it's dependant on water trasmission. The conditions to use it and not it's actuall effects is what screw it over.

DIO says it during his first encounter with Pucci, not during their conversation about the weakest stand. We will get to see that in the 3rd batch of the Stone Ocean anime adaptation. The flashback of the first encounter between Pucci and DIO happens when the story starts revealing how Erinco Pucci and Weather obtained their stands in the first place and the reason for why Pucci is seen panicking so much about Weather Report. Update: Oh look at that, I was correct

I think Dio looks good in this style and in part 3 style, part 6 makes him look a bit more feminine but part 3 makes him looks a bit weird but I like those

Most people in the comments are overlooking what Dio ment by "weakest stand". Obv its ability not being able to discern friend or foe makes it weak but it can still be a useful even game changing ability, but the actual stand itself and what it can do is very weak, only being able to conduct a very small electrical impulse that doesnt necessarily help the user in any way. The amount to which it can change and manipulate its environment does very little for the user, only acting as a network for anger to be increased from.

I guess David Production are testing Diego model for Upcoming Steel Ball Run and it suit Dio/Diego well

The entire reason dio actually talks to him is because he trusts him and he knows pucci trusts him and views him as a god
