@@StropsandStones If you're worried about the abrasive effect of a wire brush, should you not worry about the abrasive in Barkeeper's friend?
Your comment bar keepers will etch your sink , immediately sent up a red flag in my mind. The sink contains a high percentage of nickel and the diamond stone is nickel plated. It may damage you stone as well. I would stick to the eraser
