I have had a set of Spiegler lines for my FZ-10 for around 18 months. I've been putting off the job of installing for all that time, because of the complexity. But at least now I know why my favourite Yamaha dealership would have to charge me nearly a thousand bucks to do the job. Happy to have found this video.

BTW it LOOKS sorta like the one mounting point next to the steering stem might interfere with a stem lift I dont recall anything in the way on my stock 2023 MT-10 but then again maybe the brake line mounting is different for '22+ anyway....just saying

@Trent Roger Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

Is the fuel line connector on the bottom of the gas tank a valve type or am I required to drain all the fuel prior to unplugging it?

Quick disconnect. There’s a u shaped clip that you gently slide to disengage a tang on the fuel fitting. Recommend you wait for the bike to fully cool and the fuel line pressure to dissipate, first. You’ll still have the bit that’s in the hose, but the tank should not leak unless there’s an issue.

By this point one is asking "WHY of WHY didnt I buy an SP?" lol I bet this would easily be over $1000 parts and labor for a shop to do it The kit plus 6 hours labor?? yeah might EASILY be over $1k

I cannot for the hell of me understand what's the point of replacing solid brake lines with steel braided. Why not design this to replace just the rubber sections of the lines.

In no particular order: 1. Cost. Fewer lines costs less - primarily because of fittings, but also labor to make them. 2. Leak points. Believe it or not, people tend to have problems sealing some of those pesky hard line fittings. The worst part is that they are hard to get to to fix if leaks occur. 3. Weight. The factory hard lines aren't heavy on their own, but the fittings are solid chunks of steel. Our kit saves 1.3 lbs.

Manufacturers also recommend replacing the OEM rubber brake lines every few years as well. On the flip side the braided lines are lifetime and never need to be replaced.
