Don, having three great uncles that were in The Sea Bee's, I'm always watching when you put these guys in there place and not letting them ruin the names of the lost and men still here. My uncle, Jim Ruff was a Sea Bee, and he's still with us, and sends his thanks to you. Be well Don. Keep giving them Hell!!!

@@commiesRus An NCO is a Non-Commissioned Officer. It differs a lot from a Commissioned Officer. An NCO is considered Enlisted, a CO is considered a Commissioned Officer. Officers are like managers, and enlisted are like worker bees. You salute an officer and call them sir/mam, but with an NCO you stand at parade rest and call them by their rank (E.G. Sergeant Jones, or Staff Sergeant Williams).

Don, I am a former Navy Seal instructor. The Navy pulled me from the community college and gave me a commission as Captain. I taught Seal recruits how to draw plans for buildings, underwater no less, using computer aided drafting techniques. We later mined the Canadian west coast to prevent an invasion from Laos. Can't say anything more, it's all very, very classified.

In the Summer of 81, I was working at the local Chess King when this guy wandered nervously into the store. After some small talk, he claimed the FBI hired him to "handle" the Minot Mall, and he needed a "few good men" to "clean up the place." So I joined. Over the next few months, we fought in fierce battles, including Operation Bob Villa up in the Kenmore Valley or that blood bath down in the lower food court during Operation Karmalkorn at Aunt Annies...wow. But nothing prepared us for Black Friday or what was known as Operation Hickory Farms when our free sample lines broke down, and we lost 9 good "Holiday Helpers along with 64 lbs of sliced cheddar."

The most difficult military training in the world and these seals still can’t balance a ball on their nose.

Don your gonna give yourself a hart attack buddy. Thank you for your and your sons service. As a free American i seriously appreciate it. My best friend who passed dad is a retired navy seal down in fort Myers Florida. Not a tall fella but is a huge man. God bless all NAVY SEALS and those who will be.

I was Special Seal Team 69 in Nam and knew this guy. We fought side by side, sniping King Kong along the Delta Phi Betta Cappa.

I was trained in underwater demolition, and became so accustomed to working underwater that when I worked on land there was a guy who hosed me down as I worked.

Glad someone is exposing theses people for what they AREN'T! I'm Retired/Disabled Navy (NEVER a SEAL) and I've exposed multiple people for bogus stolen valor claims. A lot of people want to claim to be a SEAL, but few want to or are able to deal with BEING one!

Former Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) employee here. I caught one (but I’m not going to say how). 30 years active duty, 100% disabled- I took it personally. I went to his service organization, showed the documentation to one of their National-level representatives, and told him if this vet ever calls tell him he’s a damn liar and the VA knows it. Then I processed the legitimate portions of his disability compensation claim.

We need more good men like yourself today at the VBA. God bless you. And God bless Don Shipley.

"I came in as an NCO, not an enlisted man" That about covers it. Well and it appears that dude thought NCO was some kind of rank. GREAT STUFF.
