I was never called an NCO in the Navy, I was a Petty Officer. No one skips Seal training to become a Seal whatever your background and definitely a half-trained FBI agent.

@@commiesRus An NCO is a Non-Commissioned Officer. It differs a lot from a Commissioned Officer. An NCO is considered Enlisted, a CO is considered a Commissioned Officer. Officers are like managers, and enlisted are like worker bees. You salute an officer and call them sir/mam, but with an NCO you stand at parade rest and call them by their rank (E.G. Sergeant Jones, or Staff Sergeant Williams).

Don, I am a former Navy Seal instructor. The Navy pulled me from the community college and gave me a commission as Captain. I taught Seal recruits how to draw plans for buildings, underwater no less, using computer aided drafting techniques. We later mined the Canadian west coast to prevent an invasion from Laos. Can't say anything more, it's all very, very classified.

But nothing prepared us for Black Friday or what was known as Operation Hickory Farms when our free sample lines broke down, and we lost 9 good "Holiday Helpers along with 64 lbs of sliced cheddar."

I can. It happened to me. I was 19 years old working as a stock clerk in a supermarket. The Navy drafted me due to my stock skills to teach UDT construction and building pyramids. I didn't have to go to basic or anything. I was promoted to CPO and drafted for meritorious awesomeness. Oh, and was drafted to Delta afterward.

I was a General that deployed 78 times to every country in North America and received 13 Purple Hearts, 3 Congressional Gold Stars medals of Valor, 4 Medals of Merit, 6 Gold Crosses, and many more. I taught myself how to get through all of this training without going through classes, but I have all the badges for everything. I’m Also a compulsive liar. lol

‘Cavitation plates’ are for boats they’re on top of the prop to stabilize the water flow….. this guys saying he installed cavitation plates on ships so you can identify them and that’s basically his entire special ops career it makes no sense at all.

As a combat vet of the 2016 WalMart black Friday sale . I know the frustration of being pulled from the team and sent to teach UDT to seals.

Stolen valor in this degree needs to be a felony. It's a spit in the face of all those past and present that served, regardless of the capacity they served in. Keep after 'em Don!

Don, my dad was a retired major (disabled) commissioned in 1942 and retired in 1947. He was severely wounded during the Normandy campaign. He was awarded a Purple Heart with oak leaf cluster and a Silver Star. He died in 1968 when I was six years old. To me, he is a REAL hero and I only wish I could have been a tenth of the man he was. I have been unable to locate any of his records in attempting the Army database so I guess I’ll have to use my imagination. I am glad we have people like you to expose these imposters, who for whatever reason attempt to steal from people like you and my dad. Don thank you so much for the work you do. I come from a family with many who served during wartime starting with the Vietnam war. So to see frauds being exposed is just awesome.

What shocks me the most is how busy you are exposing these frauds. You'd think that there would only be a few of these fakes around, but damn they're everywhere and they're not even ashamed of it.

Most people doing something don't exactly seek out videos of people failing at the same scam. Gas Station Encounters has an entire millions of subscribers KZread Channel and their Play Buttons on the wall of their Gas Station...people still steal constantly and it becomes their content.

surprises me too man. but i think don puts it best: there are more fake navy seals than there are real ones. kinda sad that if a guy claims he was a navy seal the immediate odds of it being true are pitiful at best, but that’s just how it is unfortunately :/

When Don said that his gun store was going to get a lot of hate or worse,I hope that the lot of hate gets bypassed and escalates to the worse as quickly as possible. Stealing more than $15,000 from the guys who raise money to help disabled veterans is just despicable.

I got out as a E-5 in 93, I knew they were short changing us on pay, We made the world go around.... I never took the O in NCO that seriously, I was mistaken

When that clown said he was a Navy NCO, I busted out laughing. For all the frauds out there, keep your story simple. It's easier to control than a complex one.

From what I recall; Buck 🔪 made a SEAL-UDT knife for years. As did Ernie Emerson. The late Richard NMI Marcinko O-5 Cdr ret spoke highly of Emerson. He wrote about his CQC blades in his novels.

I like how you're not overly technical or interrogative with these people. You just let them spill their own beans. You're very simple and straight to the point, and you don't nitpick them over little details. You let them get comfortable with you to the point that they think they're in control. You're an absolute masterclass, and I can respect your training and experience because it's really followed you past your time in the Navy. Keep doing what you're doing, because there's not enough Stolen Valor catchers out there who know what they're doing. You do, and you do it right. Always a pleasure getting to watch you at work.

Glad someone is exposing theses people for what they AREN'T! I'm Retired/Disabled Navy (NEVER a SEAL) and I've exposed multiple people for bogus stolen valor claims. A lot of people want to claim to be a SEAL, but few want to or are able to deal with BEING one!

Former Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) employee here. I caught one (but I’m not going to say how). 30 years active duty, 100% disabled- I took it personally. I went to his service organization, showed the documentation to one of their National-level representatives, and told him if this vet ever calls tell him he’s a damn liar and the VA knows it. Then I processed the legitimate portions of his disability compensation claim.
