He didn't get away with it with me, an army MPI and came clean... He "confessed" he wasn't able to finish BUD/S because he, "blew out an eardrum during an ascent in the diving phase." He actually went so far as to say he was later "attached to one of the Teams on missions, because of [his] expert diving experience (before BUD/S)." I didn't stick around too much longer... What really pissed him off -- as he said, because of my "Damned investigating shit!!" when I found a strange hotel phone charge, called it, it was his lover's husband. I asked him "if his wife was missing the same night my bf was?" LOL... They deserved getting caught for being so stupid. That was ONE SIGN he COULDN'T have been a SEAL!! You do great work Don Shipley!!... I didn't realize we are unknowing partners!!

I used to travel with my grandfather from vfw to vfw. I watched him bust stolen Valor over and over. Back in the 80s. He would go to cemeteries. He would check with people in other towns. He would pick a fight and beat an ass. And pull a gun. It was his mission to stop this back in the late 80s and early 90s. I'm glad you continue this. Good work. I was never a Seal ,but I served damn proudly as an Engine man on the Uss Harpers LSD-49 San Diego CA. Hell I probably couldn't pass the intro just to get into BUDS training. I'm sure seals are humble ,not a big mouth braggert.

I was an over the road driver who now owns his own company. And when I was OTR, I saw and heard soooo many stolen valor stories. Like one guy who claimed to be a CW3 in The United States Army and claimed he was an aviator, then claimed he was demoted to a Sergeant pay grade E-5 and sent to the infantry in Vietnam. I knew right then and there he was lying

When your wife (I assume) told him to check it out I laughed so hard 😂

I served 4 years in the Army. My job was in the Signal Corp. I didn't see any combat but I'm 100% disabled due to a training accident and other stuff. This guy pisses me off. I was just a guy who wanted to make a difference. I'm a disabled veteran advocate now. Don Shipley is a hero.

It does NOT matter if you saw combat or not you were prepared to go thats all that matters. My Grandad was in WW2 he fixed the airoplane wings on the planes fixed the bullet holes. He didn't pick up a gun! But what he did do was keep the planes in the air as much as possible during the blitz and battle of britain. Again in my eyes a hero even though he never picked up a gun in combat. Stay safe my American brother love from the UK

Military training nice and all but at the end of the day you can use your hands or you can’t! I’m definitely not undefeated but I gave out way more punishment than I took 🤷🏿‍♂️
