Any horse with minimum training can carry two people at a time with relative ease, and that's without counting equipment or additional gear! Considering that an adult person is an average of about 160 lbs, the combined weight wouldn't be all that different from the 400 lbs of an adult silverback. My point being, it may *look* silly, but it's actually quite possible. Horses are insanely strong.

Hearing a gorilla roar in the woods is something you gotta be thankful to never experience

That roar would of been the end of me shit myself and died

It's lucky that Gorillas are emotionally intelligent, otherwise their 400 lb frames would rip apart any species they perceived as a threat.

Percheron,Belgian draft, Suffolk, and other draft breeds could also easily carry an ape. Gorillas max at 600 lbs while chimps and bonobo don't get heavier than 150lbs

I feel so bad for Lucas horse, not only did it have to carry a Silverback Gorilla but then a fully grown chimp as well😭

That was the only time I've seen this short and seen his face. Every other time I really thought that was a person. Why does he seem a bit unique? Even the eye color.

Pretty sure he was raised in the human camps to be a slave Ape but suffered from mange and was far more intelligent than the other apes. So humans abused him and presumably killed him or chased him off. He only knows himself as Bad Ape because he was never given a proper name, but he is one of the few apes who can succinctly speak full sentences

I might be wrong about this since I'm just going off of memory. But I think he was just trying to save the humans or something since he thought they were gonna kill them. The few captured ones, not the military ones. Bad Ape is more or else good If I remember correctly but still it's been a long time since i've seen it so I might be capping.
