I still fondly remember feeding Purina trout chow to my little pond of rainbows as a 10 year old . Fun times! Now we build some of the best trout habitat anywhere.

I would say 1 year (more or less) to avoid overpopulation and at the same time let the fish get to nice weight and size to eat

Always design a habitat to provide a lot of live forage even if you are feeding pellets. The pond ecology will turn the fish waste from the pellets into more food in the form of bugs etc.

can you have a pond with natural [put there by you] algae and plants and fish that sustain themselves without buying some artificial food? I have no idea, this is the first day i even thought about a pond.

depending on the size of your pond if there is an established bait fish population fish like bass and pike will sustain themselves. i don't think that feeding your fish processed food is neccessary, it is probably just for marketing

Great guy but I worry he won't be hosting this show long from health problems. Should go on Biggest loser. It'll be a win win for both shows. Free advertising.
