Your way of commentating chess is revolutionary I think, you describe positions so passionately and with such good understanding Levy, just wow, it would be wonderful if you did more videos about best chess games in both from humans(current and historical) and from engines. I wish you good luck in your GM journey too and soon we will call you GM Levy!)

@paiadidaisada9133

@@HopefulOrange I guess it depends on the video, the videos that analyze low rated games are much slower because the mistakes are more human and the ideas have less intrinsic thoughts behind them, these are so hard if you explain every single move you could stay for days, because every move -not- made is a blunder anywhere from 1 to 30 moves away.

One of the most enjoyable chess analysis I've watched in a long time. I was just missing the popcorns. Great job
Levy, I love all your retrospectives on the drama, the battle of the chess engine. It is fascinating. Sometimes the idea behind the move is counterintuitive and so obvious once we understand the move. I like all your videos. That is all.
Love this vid! Really interesting and great enthusiasm for the complex chess.
Hey Levy. I've been watching your video's for quite some time now. Love the content. Keep up the good work. Just wanted to say I absolutely love it when you post these Chess Engine games. It's really fascinating to me so I really enjoy when you post these. Thanks!

Drinking game: one shot every time gotham says "slowly, methodically"
Deeply fascinating - honestly seeing this high level play really brings out those underlying concepts of chess of long set ups and space to the forefront. I don't know a lot about chess but this was incredible to watch. Great review and explanation very well done!
"Computers are out of their prep." - I loved this 😂
I hate endgames. Computer endgames are a pleasure to watch.
Hey, I mean right now they're playing another sick variation of the Caro. But with TCEC stuff, a way to maybe make people understand how engines mess up, show how if say Stockfish wins a pair of games, how did Leela play that let Stockfish equalize? I'd really find that interesting. And Leela has also won a couple of game pairs, would love to see a couple of those featured as well!
You need to get the TCEC eval for these games. Your eval is all over the place. If Stockfish is +1, it doesn't go to 0 on one move, that would be a blunder for the fish, and the fish doesn't do that. Either it was bullet time format and your computer had a lot more time to evaluate or your computer just doesn't see it.
Really cool watching this engine play, not in a rush, not scared to lose, always takes the position and keeps attacking the king, wow
Stockfish has main character energy.

I really enjoy these videos! In the first game why couldn't black castle instead of the king move? Not suggesting the engines didn't have a good reason haha but I'm interested
@kurtbarry6150
11 күн бұрын
My best guess is that if black castled, white would play Nf6. This is check and forks the black queen. The g pawn can't take b/c it's pinned by the white queen (as the black king is now behind it). Black's only option (if it wants to keep its queen) is to trade its bishop for the knight. Black now has to be very careful with the next move, as white threatens mate with Qxg7--I think the only viable defense is g6. Not sure how it evolves from there (I don't even play chess, just got nerd sniped here). But--the threat of white getting its queen to g7 somehow still exists, the white bishop has a lot of black squares to play with (and any move with it frees up the rook), and black is very underdeveloped so seems like a stronger position for white, at least.
4:33 My new favorite term in chess is "Giga mega super omega super forked"
If engines could pick their own moves, what opening would they play? Would it change depending on the depth?
@lethallohn
27 күн бұрын
They usually play into the Berlin Defense, but if you have different time controls, settings, or depth you could get some other results. For example, the default for most engines is to focus on one move in the position. However, you can set the Principal Variation (PV) to 2, 3 or any number you like. Meaning you could even have the engine consider all legal moves in a given position the whole time. This would greatly decrease depth, but you'd get more dynamic play and sometimes prevent engines from missing moves.

Whether it was a good day, bad day, terrible day, average day, idk, i always come back and watch and just escape life a bit watching some GTE and how to lose at chess. Seems odd but sometimes these vids keep me going when I don’t really wanna go anymore. So thank you

fascinating is that stockfish plays vs computer that not even all gms in the world combined would beat.
