Stock LS Truck Accessories with a LS1 Intake + Fitting Headers | 4 Eyed Fox Budget LS Swap Part 4

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This time on SPPTV Riley and Clayton figure out the rest of his front accessories, leaving enough room for a "car style" LS intake with a lower throttle body opening. The modifications also allow use of a stock flat hood, and are basically free depending how fancy you want to make it.
The cursed L33 aluminum block that was once in the Sh!thorse is then use to fit the headers in the engine bay, and help determine what will need to be done. The budget may take a hit on this one but it is for the best in the long run!

    I know this is a budget build and you haven't said what you planned on doing for engine management, but I would highly recommend using the Holley Terminator X, especially if future plans include turboing this motor. If you'd like to go that route, I'd like to kick in a C-note to help you guys out and maybe make that decision a little easier.

    The dimensions I had for the aluminum “Loin Fruit” were 3/4” by 1/2” by 6” long bar stock. ID for holes was .395 with a center to center of 4.325 take off .250 on the back far enough to get alternator to mount clearly and even. Then at the end clean off a bit of the excess length at both ends. Works great

    That bracket for the alt is it just 1/2x1/2 aluminum square stock? Also you said you made about a 1/4 inch deep notch on the alternator side so it would line up? Finally the dimension for the spacer for the idler pulley was what?

  • @SPPTVarmy

    @SPPTVarmy

    4 жыл бұрын

    Correct, I believe the spacer was .935” or .985” in length. 10mm ID hole and I’ll have to check later what the OD was
