Jill - You are an exceptional teacher. I was pretty good at tubular peyote about 10 years back and all it took to get back into it was watching this video. Thanks!

Jill, thank you SO much for this tutorial. I was determined to make an odd-count spiral tube with four colors to match a pendant bead, and although I have done even-count tube for years, I was mystified by the two single beads at the end of the first odd-count row. You were the first tutorial to address this. Thank you! I'm now a devoted fan of your wonderful work.

Jill, First off, i just wanted to say that your tutorials are so clear and easy to understand and follow! Im very new to this world of beadweaving and a friend of mine said that you can do a tubular style peyote around a pearl, would I then use the pearl as my center and continue this stitch until its around it? If you could maybe make a video or so on different shapes (if its possible) or examples of other things you can do?..

Now I just have to figure out what to do when my hoops are too thin for 7 beads but if I wrap it then it’s too thick. And still too thin for 9 beads. But I don’t want to do even count. So any suggestions?

I seem to be doing my tubular peyote upside down from the way you are showing. My needle is inserted from right to left and the new beads are at the top of the tube. Is there a reason I should do it the way you show instead? Or is it just a preference? I am enjoying your videos, thanks!

Hm, I think I'd rather deal with the step up of even-count, which to me doesn't seem so pesky, instead of the uneven end of the odd-count. Glad I watched this though, since I'm sure even-count won't always be an option. TFS!!!

Thank you for this tutorial! I just learned how to do even tubes, but a recent project I am working on (a bracelet for a doll) required an odd number of beads to fit nicely and I was struggling working with 13 beads over an even amount, and kept trying to fit that whole "step up" part in somewhere as I would work, but it would create a gap at the start that looked horrible! Didn't even realize there was an "odd" way to do Peyote Tubes lol.
