Win or lose, he's not only one of the greatest fighters on the planet, but one of the most down to earth dudes as well. Being from and living in NE Ohio, he is so much more than just a fighter, he's one of us, a guy that goes through the grind and represents the hard worker and rugided individual you would find in the area. A volunteer firefighter when he could just count his money and lay back, a guy that could have gone training at a high profile gym but stayed at Strong Style here in Cleveland, a guy that represents the true grit of NE Ohio. Win or lose, I'll always be a Stipe guy and always back a guy that never forgets where he came from.

Well said. He's inexplicably the underdog most of his fights, and with how random heavyweight is its hard to see anyone surpassing 3 title defenses. Legend of the game and one of the few fighters that stayed true to himself during the McCasual years. Win or Lose my favourite fighter. Jones is extremely hard ask at his age but no way he just buzzsaws through Stipe. Can't wait for this one

Man given all the excitement and hype around the fight, The feeling of maybe its potentially the last fight for both these legends is an overwhelming thought. Jon has clearly said that there's no real challenge for him left after beating Stipe, so the potential matchup against Sergei Pavlovich, Sergey Spivac or even Curtis Blaydes are not some of the fights that interests Jon Jones, and coming back to Stipe he's 41 yr old and a UFC legend in every sense of the word, would love to see him put up a great show in his potential last fight, although given the kind of wreak Jones havoced on a prime Cyril Gane, there's not a lot of practical chance in favour of Stipe!!!

Don't be fooled by Pavlovich's excellent striking. The dude has a sambo background so he can grapple too if necessary. As for Stipe, he's just taking this fight for 1 final big payday and I don't blame him. If he really wanted to fight then he could've fought any of the contenders in the past 2 years instead of doing nothing. Jon is gonna give him a rude awakening.
