Many drummers remark that Vinnie Colaiuta's drumming on Sting's "Seven Days" is one of the greatest recorded performances ever. It is a super treat to see Yoyoka on the kit as we watch and listen to her rise to these heights. I dare to say that Yoyoka can perform anything she sets her mind to. Thank you to the Soma family for making these great moments happen. Regards, Daniel

I would suggest this is better than the original, but I am biased! It could be that Aki’s mix is always drum forward.

How many drummers can play anything, anywhere, any timing, any phrasing, any anything, and absolutely nail it? Damn few, and most of them are dead. Not meaning to boast, but I was a subscriber before the rest of the world realised you are the best drummer ever, Yoyoka.

It seems yoyoka is now setting her sites on guitar, bass and piano so she can focus on composing and arranging. If she applies the same level of focus and passion as she has to her drumming it is going to be interesting to see her evolve as an artist not just an instrumentalist. Curious to see what happens.

I have watched every single video that she has ever put out. Some many, many times. Overwhelmed with how good this particular one is. Playing in 5/4 is extraordinarily difficult to do with feel, and she does it with feel in spades. Spades. Rock solid .

I don’t know this particularly Sting song. Took me a minute to realize that this is in five. I haven’t seen Yoyoka do much in unusual time signatures, though I think five is the most natural of those time signatures. As I’d expect, she nails this. She feels this like she feels everything else.

Check her Led boots cover Thats a crazy patterns one and she just colaborates and enhances with every other instrument. She plays bonham, colaiutta, appice, baker, ringo, chad smith, then she goes funk & punk, then melodies. She composed a masterpiece. Her songs for kids are just wonderful. I mean, she plays and I like it. It's all about me🤔

I think you are thinking as we, common humans. I beleive she doesn't have it that hard. I heard her say once (I might have read it) that music & drumming was her first language. I think if she likes a tune she'll "sneak" into it and go along with it and enjoy it in a way we commoners can't. She understands, she delivers and she enjoys. And we love her "voice", her sound. Because there's some purity there, some joy. It's like she shows us; hey guys, this is what I do when I'm happy and want to express myself. And, of course, we all go nuts in awe and joy and admiration. I hope it never ends, her pleassure and joy in performing. I hope. All that said she is very committed and puts a lot of effort to make all this happen. Because she likes it as much as we do. Thanks Yoyoka!!

What an awesome cover of a really tough time signature.. Hard cover For any player, much less one who is only 13 yrs old. A great song but then Who would expect any less from Sting...!!!

I am just an average Bloke, for the American's, that's guy in Aussie terms. Many people have told me a i sing like a Buffalo and dance like a galloping hat rack. Therefore my musical ability is zero. I just go by the sound and to me it was infectious, had a slight funk feel to it. I loved Yoyo's vibrance and joy in performing this song. She is such a beautiful spirit a credit to her wonderful family. I have played this performance over and over,it just brings me sheer joy. Wonderful work Yoyo; may Peace,Love and Happiness be with you and your family always. Camo from The Land Down Under.
