It has most definitely been going to the interest. When my husband and I decided to pay our car off, I would make my original car payment of $483.73, but I rounded it off to an even $500. I would then mail in what ever extra money I had and put “Principal Only” on the check and it went directly to the principal. I highly recommend doing it that way.

I think it depends, me personally paying off my car the extra money I payed I included it with my monthly payment and it all went to principal only.

Hey! Credit cards do not have a principal payment if it was a car loan then you would want to let the lender know that the additional payment is for principal. For the credit card, basically the extra payments will help reduce the balance subject to interest lowering the amount of interest being assessed so that more of your payment is going to the overall balance.

He put it all towards our basement renovation. I pay daycare and he pays all the other bills because it's roughly the same but his is a lil more. No worries, thanx for watching💜

Where your money goes when you make an overpayment should be explained in your terms. You can probably find them on the website or give them a call. For credit cards, it can depend on the type of balances you carry. Is it all revolving, is any of the total balance on a special rate or promotion? Credit cards aren't considered a loan so you don't need to say principal like a mortgage. Extra payments bring the balance down lowering the interest charged next cycle. It is important to see your specific account & terms because there are so many different types of balances/promotions possible.

I think it’s down to slim pickings on the wallet now. I got the last brown one and now only black is available. Update on instacart- they are taking forever to send me paperwork. I was looking around on the website for payment info. And Idk idk it looks like up to $10/per delivery plus tips. We shall see.

2 adults and 3 kids is 3k for the stimulus, we split that evenly so that was 1.5k to me, plus I had a 2k reimbursement for my FSA Childcare so I had a total of 3.5k that I stuffed for this video
