Stillwater is one of those gems that you can't help but fall in love with immediately. A quaint, historic town on the banks of the St. Croix River, Stillwater is a hidden gem nestled in a valley full of tall trees and flowers. We stop by the Old Stillwater Prison Minnesota, downtown Stillwater MN as well as the Washington County Historic courthouse on a peak fall day.
This is a town that's one of the top Minnesota attractions for good reason. It's a town worth exploring as there are plenty of things to see and do in this Minnesota river town, from checking out some amazing architecture to going on a hike or fishing trip. A great way to spend a staycation, day trip, or an outright vacation from out of state.

My hometown where i grew up from 1977-1985. Awesome all-american river town. it's changed in many ways but has always retained it's old town charm. Miss you StillH2O

Great video. However, you have a few errors within your voiceover. Downtown Stillwater lies between the North Hill, West Hill, and South Hill. There is no East Hill. Hwy. 36 does not lead you into Hudson, WI. That would be Hwy. 94 several miles south of Stillwater. And lastly, there are no streets named 8th and 9th in downtown Stillwater. With all that said, it's a great video of my hometown of Stillwater, MN.

Such a great place to visit
This is my home! Live in grant but have a Stillwater mailing address since I was 2! My parents/family home is still where my parents reside. We go downtown for breakfast often and we love taking walks on the water and the pedestrian bridge! This place is really hard to beat on a summer day. Its such a charming place and the people are really great. So much to do and see, so many places to eat and just an overall cozy experience. You will not ever regret visiting! Main cafe or cafe on main whatever you wanna call it is the best place for breakfast , it’s soooooo good! The freight house or nacho mamas are my favorites for lunch or dinner!!! Absolutely loved growing up here, it’ll always be a special place to me and I’ll always visit no matter where I end up!! ❤

This is where I live lol XD Edit: probably should have elaborated on my opinion on the town. Ok, so the town is definitely historic, you have the library, the staples saw mill turned mini strip mall down on Main Street. You have the bridge of course, but other than that, you have a few antique stores and the co-op valley river market and a cute video rental store called Johnny’s tv which I am thrilled exists. However you also have a bunch of disgusting luxury apartments where the old prison used to stand. The river in recent years has also flooded high enough in spring that the city has had to put a dike up to prevent the main town from being flooded. Overall though it is a nice place to live. I for one though plan on moving to Iceland when I am an adult because one I like the culture, two, they have universal (and free) healthcare.
