Cheers for playing my game Jim! I watched a ton of your early access zombie videos, and the drama ones like digital homicide whilst deving this, good stuff. Almost dissapointed you didn't rip the shit out of my / SND whilst playing this haha but glad you enjoyed it - i dunno what im doing marketing wise, im not a super indie like vlambeer nor am i published by giants like Devolver, so stuff like this really helps me out, thanks again :)

Bought the game last night and have been enjoying it. Glad to be able to play it on my simple, non-gaming laptop with a mouse because I am away from home living in a cabin without internet or cell service. The music is excellent and really ties the game together.

This actually looks really promising. It does look very unfinished, with out of place fonts, and the UI doesn't fit the pixel aesthetic, but the gameplay honestly looks very fun.

It hurts my soul that this game had no-one playing it, but people actually buy and defend some of the absolute trash that ends up on steam. This isn't exactly perfect but it's leagues better than what Jim normally plays.

Tiger the Lion well there are more popular indie title like table top simulator, we happy few, goat simulator, astroneer; I could on and on, sadly these games take attention away from this game, tbh it's thier own fault for not trying to advertise the game so that it gets more attention.

Yeah, but this game is nothing like any of those games you mentioned. "Indie" is a pretttttty big space - there's enough room for all of them to be successful.

That plant seed mechanic is actually really well thought out. Sacrifice your limited time for health and risk getting swarmed by enemies while it grows.

Thanks! I've tried to make every mechanic and thing in the game a risk/reward element, so it is not just a simple progression from weak - powerful. The seeds also grow faster in the rain so you have the choice of saving them for a rainy bit if you don't want to waste your time :)

Jim, you are a saint for showcasing fun games people haven't picked up on yet. I wish everyone were like you instead of simply hoping on the next big thing. This game seems to have been made with love and deserves some of that same love back.

I actually like how this looks. A few more kinds of maps, weapons, and buffs/debuffs and this would be an easy purchase/recommend for me.

Not a bad looking game. It's ironic that this is early access and has a lot more content then some "full released" games. It has a nice classic doom vibe to it.

Thanks, tbh i don't like early access but it seems to work well for roguelites where you can easily add a lot of content and tweak things, so i was always aiming the game for that kind of community based thing. Cheers

Might I suggest using System as the UI font? Thought it'd look more consistent with the game's aesthetic.

Asset flippers, are you watching?! This was the zombie shooter game you were all trying to make! Mini map check, enemy and weapon variety check, stable frame rate check, simple yet enjoyable gameplay check, clearly defined map boarders check, soundtrack check. How are so many of you taking something so simple and enjoy and constantly doing it wrong?!!!!!!

I'm getting some Synthwave/Darkwave vibes from this game's music. I think i'm in love with it.

This is fairly decent. Nice change of pace.

The look and feel reminds me heavily of those old Doom WADs

I like the how the music tells you when death is on its way.

It was particularly enjoyable to watch you play this. It's unusual to see you lose your cool in this way. Loved it! Looks like a good game, loved the music.

The game could probably use some audio cues of where enemies are, so you don't have to constantly spin around to check for enemies.

This looks like it taken notes from quake or doom and made it into a fun colourful fps, I just love it and goes to show that with better coding and a good game engine can do wonders, this game developer achieved what digital homicide couldn't

So... relatively sparse commentary in a 20 minute video? That tells a lot about the game, actually. 1) It's genuinely engaging and fun 2) Controls are good, or we would have heard Jim complaining a lot Having the moonphase be the deathtimer is a nice touch.

Honestly looks like a genuinely decent game. If nothing else a good time waster. The graphics on the pistol look a little *too* 2D, maybe adding a bit of depth to it would look better, but aside from that; good looking game. Has a fair bit of potential.

Thanks :) Honestly, whilst watching a video the shitty gun graphics stand out, but when you are in-game i don't think you notice much because you're too busy looking at everything else, like the enemies/map..etc. Its a 1 man indie game, and its cheap, i dont mind if the graphics look a bit crap as long as its fun. Thanks for the feedback tho, more weapons coming. There are 30+ weapons/items right now.

@Glove Games If at all possible, one potentially significant way to draw people in would be to implement Workshop support (and list it as a prominent feature) for replacing the models/graphics. Some people really love to make content for the games they enjoy.

Now this is my type of game. In the style of a classic FPS, it gives you an incentive to make good decisions while being wary of time management, looks hella fun too. Definitely deserves a lot more attention

How to tell whether Jim had a good time with any given game: If the video ends with him saying bye, it's been fun. If the video ends with a sigh or just fades out during a rant, or abruptly ends after something stupid happened, it was probably another asset flip and/or achievement hunter 'game'.

I don't normally notice the thumbnail but I did this time and thought the same. In a twist I actually ended up buying it. Hopefully the dev gets some more love from this so we can see what they're really capable of.

I like the music.

I was pretty dismissive of this game when the video started, but after five or so minutes I got pretty invested in watching. I doubt I would ever play this game myself, but credit where it's due: it looks like a decent game.

From the thumbnail, I was expecting another UnitZ. Was pretty surprised.

The death chases in red are a good idea. But death should be scarier. Make it a building-sized monster that stomps after you, shaking the ground.

Not to shabby. Little more work and this game will be really fun.

So wait... Jim plays a first person shooter on steam (with zombies) and it's got: Music (enjoyable, reasonably fitting music at that). Consistent and unusual enemy design. A variety of weapons with more than just the usual standards. Sound design being suitable and not super weak or ear-rapingly inconsistent. Appears to have a fairly solid foundation in place already and could be built upon and refined rather than being flawed and lazy in everything from conception onward. What the fuck is happening? This looks kinda like what I wanted STRAFE to be in gameplay but really low budget. But not so low that it's another Wolfenstein 3D clone.

That looks like a fun game.

Now this is how you do early access. This is a fun game in and of itself, that is already very playable, and will hopefully get even better with time if enough people buy it.
