I have the same problem. These newer saws have so many doo dads and linkages in there. Thanks for the tip. I will try tomorrow and let you know!

Yea something to keep in mind is you will have to replace the linkage because the metal wears in the contact spot making it smaller over time and easier to pop back out. With a new linkage the diameter is normal and less likely to pop out. You could also job weld the plastic area to prevent it from popping out of the weak plastic clip area. ( my saws have years of commercial use and wear but stihl working )

I appreciate ya tryin,but i couldnt make heads or tails of what you were doin. My 441 was workin fine and i left it sitting for a couple months and now the throttle wont work. Its been a great saw,but i cant even figure out where the cable connects on this overly complicated carburetor.
