Hi Dylan, all athletes are required to wear protective apparel for all of the chainsaw events. This includes chaps, ear protection and eye protection. For all chopping events the athletes wear chain mail guards underneath their pants, shoes and socks. Safety is our utmost concern and all athletes are always required to wear protective equipment.

Two new things I've learn from this video 1.) The sport... what if the axe hits the crowd? The one part when the log is under their feet... good way to loose your toes... dont they have weight class? Size does matter... I like to see a 180lb vs a body builder? (Both with experience) 2.) And the fact that there is a ad in the video itself lol. Prime wont save u but at least u could just skip it

It's spelt global not globle, but that doesn't really matter and English might not be your first language. Anyway I completely disagree that games have to create things and shouldn't destroy things. There are many martial arts competitions where people try to break wooden or concrete slabs and it's a test of strength and skill, this lumberjack completion while a lot less cool is similar, there's probably also lots of other games that involve destroying things but that's the one that came to mind. Also the people participating in this probably enjoy it or they wouldn't be doing it, and I've seen some people in the comment section who enjoyed watching it (even though I personally didn't) so that renders your second point moot. And lastly I know that cutting trees down does release carbon in the atmosphere and I know that we need trees to make oxygen but honestly it needs to happen on a large scale to make a difference like the destruction of the rainforest. Something like this would make nearly no difference to the environment. Also your last sentence should have a question mark at the end because you phrased it as a question so you shouldn't have put an ellipsis there. ( an ellipsis is the word for the three dots in case you didn't know)

what axes are these guys using? Also, it the same for the underhand and standing chop?
