The money maker! That is the saw that got me into fixing my own saws, got sick of paying the local Stihl dealer to not fix my 200. Only Stihl I own. Legendary saw.

I run all old Stihls,my 200T,066 and 038 magnum 2,all of em still rip. The 066 with a 32” cannon superbar or a 36”is pretty heavy to climb with but I can still do it even at 54 years young. Hello from British Columbia

I love the 200t, but I can't afford one. I had one around 15 years ago and I had to let it go due to moving and finances. But they are an awesome saw. Great video. I'm learning. 😎😎

Guess we think the same lol, I'm a bigger guy myself and I never thought about climbing until I met 2 different guys who are close to my size on a wildland fire that climb in the off season, now it's got me thinking about it. Unfortunately that makes me want to take your route and start with a "new" top handle to start lol.

These videos make an excellent accompaniment while hand filing chains at work - it’s like having a mate over gassing about saws. Cheers Tinman 👍🏻 Al

Good story, Tinman. Years ago Harvey told a story that was epic about him and another logger picking up a hitchhiker when they were bandaged. I highly recommend you listen to it.

Great video, Tinman!!! Those 200 t's seem to be all the rage right now. I'm seeing asking prices for fairly beat up ones in the $700 - $800 range! 😱

Sounds like a stroker shovel, had a triumph Bonnie for going to work and even lock tite wouldn't stop every bolt from loosening on it . Great fun tough! Love the hogs but don't get out much anymore with family and stuff, great to have memories of the wild old days!!

Only way to enjoy the farmertec 200t is by porting cylinder and muffler, advanced timing then yell have something to enjoy, but if you use it to make money it will not be alive for too long bearing crank will get a lot of slop and will need a rebuild if lucky if not lucky crankcase failure and pretty much throw it away at that point Farmertec 200t stock is nowhere near Stihl 200t

Would a smaller clutch sprocket and more raker clearance be better? Or a bigger sprocket and taller rakers? Especially with a long bar? Asking for a friend.

Tinman, I really like your channel and am a late comer but trying to catch up. I am subscribed to a channel called Adventures Made From Scratch. This man has a large amount of old chainsaws. He is wanting to move them and I thought you may be interested for the parts. They may some of them run. Contact him if interested. Thanks for taking time to entertain people like me, I don't have any old saws but enjoy what you do.
