Seriously. And it's worth noting that the only way you accidentally hit yourself in the face with your own weapon is if you're intentionally looking down the barrel. And literally one of the two biggest rules of handling a firearm is "Never point a loaded weapon in the direction of something you aren't willing to shoot." Pretty sure for most people "my own face" isn't on the list of things they're willing to shoot. Pro dishwasher tip: if you don't pre-rinse, a huge power boost is to run the hot water in the sink closest to the dishwasher, until it's coming out nice and hot. This keeps the 'washer from starting off with cold water. Hot water breaks up oils and fats pretty well by itself, so it essentially makes the best possible use of the detergent by teaming up with it, where cold water just carries the detergent while it does all the work.

Two more tips from a lazy and single engineer: 1. Run the garbage disposal while you’re running the hot water before the wash. That’ll help the dishwasher to drain freely (learned that one the hard way). 2. If your dishwasher has a removable filter, rinse it frequently. That’s what catches what you didn’t wash off of your dishes beforehand.

I hadn't thought of the disposal, but then again I always run it any time much of anything goes into it, so's to not accidentally send a future obstruction down the drain. But I like that tip, partly because it seems like it'd be a good, easy-to-remember ritual to run the hot water, and take up part of the wait time with running the In-Sink-Erator.™ Thanks for adding to the knowledge!

Amusing that the monologue transitioned from Walker not being a resident straight into Oz. Oz was only a resident because his wife's church in PA sold him a house, with the stipulation that the church gets first offer if he sells. The church literally allowed him to meddle in politics by giving him a temporary home to establish residency.

I don't know about "not bothering", Congress has been trying to put abortion rights into federal legislation for awhile, and they've held at least two votes on it since Dobbs. The majority vote just isn't there. But in good news, multiple states enshrined the right to abortion by referendum just this last election. Extremely swift response when it comes to American politics. And in Kansas, voters rejected a referendum that would restrict it. There's more to come for sure, people are absolutely 'bothering' to do something about it. Much more so (and much more quickly) than most other things wrong with the country.

It was Louis. The first "tone" was made with two strings, and they didn't have the depth, the full timbre of the contrabass.

I met him when he had two eyes. He kept calling me a pussy because I never snuck a gun on a plane. Herschel Walker's speeches are a real-life version of that.
