Stewart Francis - For One Night Only
Комедия
This clip features the comedian Stewart Francis from the show For One Night Only.
After the creative success of Saturday Live Again, broadcast in December 2007, ITV decided to commit to more comedy and music on ITV1 for 2008. The result was a co-production with ITV Productions called For One Night Only, a huge-scale variety music and comedy spectacular. Each week the show had a different pair of co-hosts - Vernon Kay and Joan Rivers anyone? - and just to make things more exciting, the series went out live (although the third one had a scheduling tussle with X Factor and had to transmit a little later). The show featured huge mainstream pop stars - Pink, Rihanna, Will Young, Pussycat Dolls, Tom Jones, Michael Bublé- all bumping shoulders in the narrow corridors at Fountain Studios with stand-ups like Milton Jones, Will Smith, Stephen K Amos and Mark Watson and a bunch of Chinese acrobats or a German wheel dancer or whichever crazy variety act had been booked that week....

If you want a joke with an innuendo, Stewart Francis will give you one.

Know what would make for some nice contrast, though? There's the one about the housekeeper, the window washer, and the pool man. It's a good, clean joke. That all changed when someone optioned the movie rights. The workmen wore showy work clothes, but they put the housekeeper in one of those French maid costumes...
Absolute genius his humour is suited for the British audience 👍🏻
He's the best one liner in the world today.

I prefer Gary Delaney, he seems to have a wider repertoire. Milton Jones, Jimmy Carr, Steven Wright are also great.

Reminds me of my act. Everyone was laughing at my stories of little, personal misfortunes. Then I had to get on-stage and do my act.

Hard to tell with this renegade.
Francis and Vine king of the one liners. Quality comedy best since Monkhouse and Cooper.
I like that some of these gags he was doing back in the 90s, but he keeps them in and then builds on them, adding new bits to them and refining them over the years, so when you think you've heard it before, he comes out with something unexpected and new, but still familiar.
My favorite one liner comedian.
Never heard of him.He’s awesome!

Hes funny.
How do you remember all of them, and remember that you already said it so you don’t actually repeat yourself?! I actually saw Gary Delaney (whom I greatly respect as well) and he did repeat himself once in the same set and the audience just laughed for him again and it was delightful.

i find the punchlines first then work around that. i often hear common phrases that sound funny when the context is changed. for exmaple, tim vine's joke: "so i was playing football on an aeroplane and there i was, running up the wing..."

Some nice one-liners and deadpan as Steven Wright but in Stewart's case one doesn't have to work so hard to get the jokes (followed by a visual joke).

The one change I'd suggest for this act? Make the abandoned-by-dad jokes about having to go home on foot instead of swimming. A boy learns to run just to save time. That's the way to incorporate a running joke.
Han Solo's brother. Or is he?
Amazing comedian . Be better if he had more jokes on here as they all seem the same ones over the years
Uh
If you see 1 of his shows, you've seen them all. He may change the order, but uses the same jokes.

It’s called ‘original material’. He’s not using jokes from other comedians. Comedians are like bands, they do a set and everyone likes to hear the classics.
