I like how this remix is almost emotionally opposite of the original. Voice sounds more mellow and kind, without Spinel's grunting in the song. While the song is a lot more speedy and with aggressive sounding instruments.

It’s really great, and I think her voice perfectly fits for this remix! One thing that bugs me though, is the lack of emotion. If you look at the original song, you can almost feel the hatred and disgust that comes from her voice. Meltberry, however, has more of a neutral feel to her voice. I don’t blame her, but I think I like the original song more. Still, good job everybody who worked on this! 😄💞

Both are great but I actually prefer this version. I think this remix puts a greater emphasis on vocal technique, and the original places more emphasis on establishing who the character is.

Seems more like a pop star single then actual anger and emotion in her voice. When Spinel says: "Let's play another game; this time I get to win", you can physically here how her devious smile is making her voice giddy in the way she sings it with hope to kill them all

I think your voice sounds great ❤ people need to realize that just because you're not the voice actor doesn't mean it can't sound nice. Great job on both the remix and the singing!!

While I do agree with her voice sounding amazing, it just doesn't feel Spinel... For a song like this with the lyrics supposed to be Spinel lashing out, It just needs to feel like they need those angry tones for this to work out much better. For example, the line where it asks "Did you think all this time that I wouldn't find out about you?" I just don't feel that the way she sung it does justice to the song. Again, her singing is great, but I just don't think it works for this song.

@@len4915 Well in my defence, I'm not trying to replicate the song, thats not what a cover is. A cover is putting your own flare into a song or your own take on it. In this case it was more of an electroswing dance vibe. Adding so much emotion into it wouldn't fit the music style because it would sound too broadway. Why would I try make something exactly the same if it already exists?

@@Meltberry Hey, just wanted to say that you have an amazing voice and there's nothing wrong with this cover. However, due to personal preferences, I still think adding more emotion would've made the song more engaging- and I don't just mean anger. I feel like the cover would've benefitted from a little more liveliness- whether it was a more fun, snazzy, smooth, or whatever type of tone. The singing is very pretty but I just didn't get much from this cover. Like I can definitely get a party vibe but I think that emphasizing that a bit more could've made it more clear to people that the purpose wasn't to necessarily build from the original song. The negative reaction from most people was kinda unavoidable since the main selling point for it _is_ about the strong emotions and style, but that's not your fault since the intention was to do something different. That's just my own criticism and thoughts though; you definitely don't have to agree since there were plenty of people pleased with this. I just wanted to bring up this perspective in case it was helpful in any way. Again though, great work. Keep it up and good luck.

On my first listen I wasn’t today sold on the song because I had heard the original over and over again (har har) as well as remixes using spinels voice and mistakenly assumed this would be the same but you took it in a different direction and I really love it!
