Exactly, being George's close friend he's been able to see all the crap KK has done destroying Georges legacy. He was very clear, Indy is George's creation (so nobody else gets the credit for it) and by saying Harrison IS Indy, sort of gave the message like FU in case you want to continue milking this franchise and want another actor to play Indy in the big screen. This is his way of supporting George and slapping KK on the face.

This wasn’t a mistake…Spielberg was there in 1981 and he knows EXACTLY what made Indiana Jones a success. The myth that KK was instrumental to this movie franchise…laughable.

Definitely not a mistake. Watch the newly released Featurette with every single one of these complicit cocksuckers. They know exactly what fans want. Even if they actually tried and it may not have landed 100%, they knew that by what they did to this film, it would dampen fans spirits. It was malicious and purposefully done to make this Helena Shaw character be an annoying “Stronger than maaaan” & gratingly insufferable whore in the film, upstaging a broken, deadbeat loser husk of what was once a hero. They knew. Indiana Jones always triumphs in the end. Not this time. What’s a shame is that it IS his last time. Can’t take away from the magic of the originals though, so these cunts, try as they may haven’t truly won 🙏🏼

The "glue for the 5 films" line is the confirmation that this was a deliberate insult to KK rather than an oversight. A clear set up to expect her, then pull the rug. Perfection

This was brilliant. He worded it perfectly to get KK's hopes up and then yanked the rug out from under her at the very end. Spielberg played KK like a fiddle.

@@hanknorris5642 according to Wiki, Steven hired her because she had great "organizational skills." She has her name as a producer or exec producer on a whole bunch of great films, but we see a serious decline in quality around the time she became named head of Lucasfilm.

As a huge john Williams admirator, the fact that Spielberg manage to give him a sincere and well-deserved thanks while trolling KK at the same time is god-tier speech. Great job Mr.Spielberg. The four of them are such an amazing quatuor.

She's personally responsible for destroying some of the greatest franchises the world has ever known. Great Job Kathy!

Nobody has done more harm to Indiana Jones than the man who directed Crystal Skull. He's also responsible for JJ Abrams being hired to do Star Wars. He wasn't shading Kennedy here. The one thing that makes it obvious what KK's feelings were at the time John Williams was announced: she never did turn to look at John Williams and the orchestra. Everyone else on stage turned to look as soon as the curtain started going up. In terms of showmanship, it made no sense for her to not acknowledge JW. The only reasonable explanation is that she was steaming mad at being neglected. And that makes me incredibly happy!

I'm not convinced that Kennedy was surprised at being snubbed, though. She must have known that Williams was going to be the third person that Speilberg would mention. She tells Spielberg, "This is how the plot's going to be," then no matter what Spielberg say it's just, "I'm the studio head, this is how it's going to be." Spielberg is one of the producers on this movie.

I remember an interview with both Lucas and Kennedy a few years ago where Lucas basically looked in her direction and was talking something about betrayal. I don't exactly recall what he said but his subtle body language and facial expression perfectly conveyed the message. Now here we have another master filmmaker giving his own treatment of the same 'Let's humiliate Kathy' idea and this was much more satisfying. Classic! 🤣🤣

Had he announced her being fired, you would hear the crowd cheer loud along with any star wars fan across the globe. 😂

There's no way she didn't know there was an entire orchestra behind her. She obviously knew who Speilberg was introducing.

That was SWEET. Spielberg knows what the fans want. Nothing matters more to Kennedy than unearned accolades in front of crowds which, beyond praise for getting coffee for everyone, is all the accolades she deserves. Especially with John Williams hidden like that, you just know she thought she was "in" the crowd as one of the three.

Yes has gotten accolades in the recent past for three reasons - 1. Because of who she has been associated with in the past 2. Her husband is Marshall 3. She is a woman. Now, she is being slow-roll black balled and people know that her fall is coming. So, due to etiquette, most people won't abjectly ridicule her (although that stage may come), but no one is supporting her. It's PR plain and simple. People have to quietly distance themselves.

I had a big smile when Spielberg did that. I felt bad for George Lucas who was being (what looks like) pushed off-stage by Kathleen because she's like "get me out of here!"

THank you STeven Spelperg for teaching us how to slap someone on the face with dignity and respect.

Echo Base Network already covered this earlier and they did an awesome job of zooming in on KK's face. The zoom really confirmed how disappointed she was. I really enjoyed seeing the shock in close up.

John Williams is the secret recipe. He bows to no one. He’s not someone he seeks fame. He’s just a true artist. Spielberg is a humble man since he’s the true legend but he knows Lucas, Ford and Williams were equally part of the key to the series success.

Indiana was the name of Lucas Malamute as a kid he owned and the woo woo noises his Malamute made was Lucas inspiration for how Chewbacca sounded. He must of really loved that dog, just like Indiana said how he loved that dog, it was the good kind of self insert.

I honestly believe Star Wars (A New Hope) would’ve been a flop without John Williams. He gives films an epic grandeur.

I would not be surprised if they kept her there, just because no one else wants the job. You need a David Zaslav style wrecking ball to clean house at LF, sadly Disney has no such men, and if they did he would not have the carte blanche or backing from the woke as f*** board to do so. They might clip her wings so she cannot release any movies and only shows with limited budgets, but its Disney, nothing surprises with that company.

Kudos to Spielberg and Williams! My heart sank when I saw George being "helped" off the stage by kennedy. I know the camera was far away, but he didn't look so good. If kennedy can still feel anything, I hope it hit her HARD.

@@mattjones7226 According to them, it's in their wills that there can't be anymore. I don't know the legality of that kind of thing, but it seems they at least think it's tight.

My opinion of Spielberg was soured after his comments regarding West Side Story. But every so often, the broken clock reflects the correct time and I think that if I was in Spielberg's shoes, I would've done the same thing.

He also told Tom Cruise he “saved Hollywood’s ass” after Top Gun: Maverick came out. I think he only made those comments during West Side Story because he had to, not cause he believes it whatsoever.

Some people are just crybabies. So he found it ridiculous to put subtitles on short Spanish snippets of dialogue, such as Si, Ola, Dios mio, and so on, most of which were then repeated in English. Yes, it would be ridiculous, insensitive and stupid to subtitle those. He was just avoiding having to use the word "anal" in his reply. Other people turned against him because he was a victim of racism in high-school, which he showed in his autobiographical film and presented his tormentors in a very generous and forgiving way.

Spielberg sucks, and this video is wrong, so you should go back to having bad thoughts about him! Spielberg wasn’t slighting Kennedy; she couldn’t have possibly thought she was the glue to the franchise he was talking about because she wasn’t a producer on raiders of the lost ark.

I'm sure she had an ET 2 script ready to go where Elliott died offstage of scrotum cancer and ET's planet is nuked from space by SheT, who is better at everything than ET was. Such a shame we'll never see that brought to the big screen.

When Kathleen was given the reins she screwed it to hell. You know all the guys like Steven Spielberg agree because those are the guys that actually made good movies. I'll never forgive KK for what she's done to the Star Wars Universe alone.

Also with KK not clapping, she also just insulted John Williams. Just sayin'....

One has to appreciate Spielberg's humility in not including himself among the people he mentioned considering he directed the trilogy. I also appreciate having two disney ads for this video. It makes me wonder if it is a part of the algorithm to target videos that mention Disney with Disney ads.

Honor to whom honor is due. Anyone can successfully produce a movie if you just say that you are working for STEVEN SPIELBERG. No one says "no" to that name, and it has been like that since JAWS for many good reasons. And now it is more clear than ever who was the talented one, who depended on who, and who can survive without the other and still being successful.

Thanks Steven for being honest. What I hated most about GoT actors was that they defended the clusterfuck from D&D starting with S6, but here we see a man who stands up for his values. Maybe I give him too much credit since he doesn't have to fear about his future career as some actors should, but anyways appreciated. Rost and humiliate that talentless person who ruined Star Wars and Indy for millions of fans.
